Yes!! The official name was Kachou Oji, but as with fansubbing back then, everything needed to be translated.

I like to think Grace turned out evil because raising Sheryl sapped all the compassion right out of her.

Does anyone know how many personal from SMS actually defected and took off with the Quarter? I know they have plenty of aircraft on board but what about pilots? Michel is gone Alto and Luca stayed along with Klan. So in terms of experienced fightings it looks like they only have few.

Didn't Bobby say seven-tenths of the personnel joined them?
How that distributes among the ranks is another story.

Hmmm... they are certainly lacking in the pilot dept. they only have Mu La Flaga and no Kira aboard the quarter. Will there be another side character for the pilot?.... well this hopefully means more screentime for the Koenig Monster ...

You know, that's one of the parts that really bothered me... how could Canaria leave her son behind in a place ruled by a power-hungry murderous madman? That's just very poor motherhood, in my opinion.

Well the quarter isn't a place for her Husband and child either. And it's not like they will the leave frontier forever. There are also a lot of innocent civillians in the frontier too. Taking her family means she is being selfish. and if she takes her family with her then the other quarter crews would take theirs too... Canaria and the others are fighting not only for their families but for the whole frontier as well...

We don't know if he's really mad. Eddy's safer on Frontier, in the middle of all the other civilians, than he is in Macross Giant Target.

Sure, but as we don't really know what it is that they're trying to do, we can't really say they're fighting for Frontier, can we? Dunno, the whole fleeing thing seems to me like a plot by the owner... he seems shifty, somehow.

Right... like when the ship's attacked by another Vajra swarm, and their main defense force is no longer there in full, eh? That bit always irked me.

About the hair... could someone sane style their hair like that?

I guess this means that most of the Quarter's crew are made up of middle-aged, foreign mercenaries that have no families and no friends outside the SMS? Because that's the only way I can reason hundreds of people saving their own skins when facing immenient destruction.
