Narou or "Syosetsu ni Narou" (Let's become a Novelist) is a web-novel site, lots of LN published by MF Books, Alphapolis, Hero Bunko are also from this site. Famous title like Mahouka Rettousei or Accel World was first posted on this site before they get published on Dengeki. HJ, Overlap, MFJ also started to adapt web novel from this site into LN. Currently I'm addicted to narou-site ^_^

Just a prologue that Amagi Kaito is summoned along with Yashiro Yuu, and the princess asked them to slay the Demon King.

Yashiro Yuu explained to the reader that he is a high-school student with perfect 3 points: ordinary, common, and average. However he is currently are in a room and standing on top a Magic Circle, this kind a thing reminds him when he was summoned 3 years ago. He then make a conclusion: he did get summoned back to the Leynburg, the world he had saved 3 years ago. Proof: Yuu recognized the words on the Magic Circle as ancient language of Ishrel, ancient words used in magic. He then blurted out this question: "Why do you need a hero?". Akane (red twintailed girl) lashed out at him, asking if he didn't heard what the princess said before. Other than Akane is cool-beauty girl, and a trap. Kaito calmed Akane down. Yuu then asked the princess to continue. The princess tells them that the previous hero failed to kill the Demon King, only managed to repel them. The Demon King now slowly reviving back from his wounds and ammasing back his strength. Yuu is confused, he clearly had defeated the Demon King, but cannot killed him. Thus, by paying a very great price, he sealed the Demon King. Yuu tells the reader, The Demon King cannot be freed that easily. if he did, then why don't call the previous Hero? The Cool-beauty asked that question. The princess answered that the Magic Circle their country, Luxeria Kingdom, used are different than what Rizerion Empire used. Rizerion Summoning Circle draws magic power from the alignment of stars and forced the door with a great amount of magic power. Luxeria Summoning Circle draws magic power from the pulse of magic line and slowly open the door. The Princess also add that Rizerion Empire (the summoner of previous hero) concealed their Summon art, and it's [code] needed to pinpoint the previous hero location. Hearing that, Akane bellowed and banged at the table saying that Rizerion and the previous hero are both irresponsible. Both the Cool Beauty and Trap asked what should they do: as they are amateur. The princess assured them, because they had summoned the owner of High-class magic power, surpassing 1000+ Royal Magician of Luxeria. Each of 4 person has magic power equaling to thousands of Royal Magician. Yuu thought to himself that those 4 people have a cheat abilities. He also add that he might have really be getting caught up, as he has zero magic power. He tells the readers what he was doing before he suddenly get summoned: on his way home from school while enjoying gravure photoalbum of Chiharu-chan, boasting the size of 95.

Kaito magic power equals to 7000 Royal Magician, and even more awesome is the Trap, he has magic power equal to 15.000 Royal Magician. The princess almost faint from happiness upon hearing that. as for Yuu, he has zero, so he automatically lost his right as hero. Yuu doesn't really fret much about it, because he just want to retire and let the new generation do the job (to Yuu being a hero is troublesome). Since the princess doesn't even know how to sent him back, he decided to live normally as a traveller. He then consult this to the princess, and the next thing he know, he is thrown outside the castle, because he is thought as a ruffian with no ability. Yuu then went to the Adventure Guild and registered there. He then get the explanation, important thing to note: Adventurer Rank is divided by the color of their card, starting from the lowest to the highest is: red, blue, purple, copper, silver, gold, platinum, black. Completing a number of quest is needed to raise rank. After that Yuu is tasked with "Collecting Herb" at the Fairy forest outskirt of town. Fairy Forest are the dwelling place of Pixie. Pixie has a special characteristics of friendly to human, and likes to play mischief to people they take a liking to. As soon as Yuu arrived at the forest, he is soon swarmed by pixies, possibly because they remember him saving them before 3 years ago. A few minutes later, the pixies scatter, sensing monster nearby. Three monsters appeared jumped in front of Yuu and attack him at great speed, Yuu [Draw] his sword and killed them with 1 swift slash. As token of gratitude, the pixies gathered herbs for him. Back to the guild, upon completing his quest, he received 1700 forn (equals to 200.000 yen). A woman calls out to Yuu, introducing herself as Tre

- Why Yuu doesn't want to do his job as a Hero?
It's troublesome to him, and he's pretty much sure the Demon King are sealed. With Amagi Kaito as the new hero, he can just let him do the job.
- Why the princess doesn't recognize him as the previous Hero?
There are four things that might be the reasons why: First, The princess never met the previous hero directly; Second, the faction who summoned Yuu is Rizerion, no Luxeria; Third, it has been three years, and Yuu might have grown differently (this however is not seems to be really the case); Fourth, The previous hero name is Yuuya Shirou, while protagonist real name is Yuu Yashiro.

In this chapter we get to see from Amagi Kaito perspective. Kaito is a normal school student, and he just happen to possess a great power. Kaito dreams to become a Hero, and he thought, what he can do with his power? A voice calls him from his back. The person who calls him is Rishie, a knight. Rishie asked if Kaito cannot asleep, and Kaito asked back how did she know? Rishie answered because Kaito eyes is like a child on the day before his birthday. Both of them then gaze at the moon, the blue moon. Kaito then talk at how he is excited to become hero, use his power to save people, to defeat evil, all for the good. He then asked if he looked weird. Rishie said no, because it's everyone at least have a great person they admired to, like hero or a Knight. She adds that 3 years ago, she met with the Previous Hero and the Saint. She didn't really remember the Hero, but she clearly remember the Saint, and admired her. Rishie aims to become a Knight, and she cheers Kaito to not forget his feelings now and aim to become a Hero. After that suddenly they feel a menacing presence, and behind them, illuminated under the moon, is a girl with pale-bluish skin and red hair, a Demon. Demon is the enemy of human, the world eater... The Demon introduced herself as one one of [the 6 Blades General of Demon King Army], also known as [War Princess of Blazing Axe]. Before she manages to finish her introduction though, Rishie attacked her with Magic Blade, a technique where one sword is enveloped by Magic power. the Demon girl easily parry it with her halberd. She comment, That "Person" technique are far more terryfing than just now, Rishie technique is very different despite using the same one. The Demon girl then said she is not in the mood of fighting with "others", and used Invisible Chain to bind Rishie. Rishie quickly recognized the Demon Girl as [Agniera the Convicted]. Agniera seemed to displeased calling by that. Asking if Rishie think she is the same equal as her, before bursting her head off. She then said that there is only one person who is allowed to call her that. Kaito falls to his back in terror. Agniera asked Kaito if he know the location of [The Hero] that's just get summoned today and tell Agniera if Kaito wants to live. The perspective switched to Agniera. She laments how he have to fight wimp just to meet with that person. Agniera recognized the looks in Kaito eyes as glint of hatred. She then decided to kill Kaito but just then, her vision shaked. Her lower body falls to her side, and she saw that the one who sliced her body is, the man in front of him, using Magic Slash. The perspective is back to Kaito, he introduced himself as the Current Hero. Agniera laughed, asking that a small fry like him is a Hero? Kaito asked back what's so funny about that to which Agniera answered: that it's too much a burdern for Kaito. That voice came from Kaito behind, and he then feel a burning pain on his neck. The upper half of Agniera body is then wrapped by flame, and grows back to normal. She then tell Kaito that Demon, are immortal, and if Kaito is holding back, he will die. Agniera then comment He is so much different than "That" person. Before Kaito is going to be killed though, 4 people came to his help:
- Princess of Luxeria, Iris Claude Row A. Luxeria
- Kaito's childhood friend, Akane
- Kaito Kendo's teacher, Sayo (Cool-Beauty Girl)
- Kaito's best pal, Akira (Trap)
Kaito is then fainted and the perspective switched back to Agniera. While cackling, Agniera said it's impossible for Kaito to became Yuuya substitute. No one can replace Yuuya. She is then binded by Iris magic, The Wedge of Sirius, [Gleipnir]. Iris said Gleipner has enough power to strangle Agniera to death, so she better answer Iris question: what is her name and what is her objective. Agniera answer her name is Flam and she comes not to start a war but to ask a duel with the Hero. Iris is surprised, as the summoning of the Hero shouldn't be know by the enemy. Agniera said whatever about that, the problem is the Hero is another person, the person she wanted to fight with is Yuuya Shirou. Iris then tried to strangle Agniera to death, but Agniera burns Gleipnir, she then said it's obvious since she is one of the strongest. She then laugh away and tell Iris to deliver her message Kaito "Grow stronger", and she disappear into the night.

Back to Yuu. He is having a bad dream of fighting someone. He then wakes up in a cheap room reserved to low-ranked Adventurer. With bed harder than rocks, Yuu has difficulty on sleeping. Important things to note about this chapter is:
- Tre is a sexy women with tanned skin and wearing sexy outfit.
- The people of Leynburg has a different intonation. This is why some people called Yuu as Yuuya Shirou. Tre is one of those who called Yuu as Yuuya. THe Receptionist girl called Yuu normally.
- Yuu age is 16, in Leynburg, the age where one considered as an adult is 18.
- Obligatory Conscription is announced by the guild, Rank C above must enlist.
- The reason is due to Court Demon attack on the castle. Rumor said it ended by the Demon repelled back by the Hero (the truth is different though...)
- Demon are divided into 2 types: High Rank (Court Demon) and Low Rank. Court Demon are then classed separately by their court rank (which also determine their true ability). From the lowest: Baron, Viscount, Earl / Count, Marquis, Prince / Duke.
- Yuu agreed that Prince / Duke Rank Demon are monster. 7 of them are enough to obliterate him, who is on the same class as Demon King.
- It is save to say that the 6 blades general are all Duke Rank.
- Yuu thought if a normal demon, then it's easy to just dispatch a division of knight, but he is surprised when he heard that Agniera is the one who come. He then ponder why this country is still alive...
- Yuu explanation about Flam (I'll start calling her this from now on): She is a monster on different level, she didn't use magic and rely heavily on her raw ability and special ability. a genuine War-monger. Among the Duke Rank, she is the strongest. On the other hand she is a deplorable girl whose head is filled with only fighting, however, her breast and ass are to Yuu's liking. By the way, she is also the one who always press and chase Yuu at first. And furthermore, [Convicted Agniera] is a disgraceful nickname given to her by Human, it somehow means "Leftover ash". Flam is easy to get be angered so it's better to not anger her.
- if a Duke Rank Demon rage, it's easy for one or two country to be blown away.
- Royal Magician is assigned by the Human as a [Tactics Class] (Kaito magic power is also one of this class), above it is Disaster or [Hazard Class], (Duke Rank Demon, Akira). The strongest class are [Transcendence class], hold only by two person, Yuu Yashiro and Demon King.
- Flam strongest skill, Gehenna Flame, one of it is enough to turn a country into a scorched earth.
- Yuu somehow managed to conclude that the reason Flam came to the castle is because she mistake the Hero = him.
- Luxeria plan while doing enscription is to request help from another country, and together, repel the advancing Demon King Army

Its good to know that the new hero isn't an asshole that looks down on people. Or rather, it seems that way from your spoilers. The reveal will be funny enough with just the princess who summoned them.

Yuu sacrificed all of his magic to seal the demon king which is why he currently has none and will continue to have none while the seal holds which is why he knows that the demon king hasn't revived yet.
So is the silver haired girl the princess or Rishie the knight? Red eyes on the guy who I think is Kaito makes me think he goes evil and becomes the next demon lord.
@amatsunagi, I just wanted to tell you that I love all your recent contributions to this forum. You have good taste and I dare say that this is the most interesting setup of the demon lord and hero trope yet.
By the way, can you give us a breakdown of who's who in the illustration?
