Reading something you already know its kinda... Boring, so I could just forget about 1-4 and directly start with 5. :/

Ryukishi07 did say the anime was made so the mystery could be solved just by watching it.

Almost the entire first half of EP1. Lots of backstory and character development everywhere. Battler and Beato's relationship. Huge swaths near the end of EP4, including the prison break, Battler's crime scene investigation on October 5th, about half of the final battle, and all of the witch's tea party.

No... Studio DEEN is pretty bad at adapting emotional scenes and character development. That happened a lot in the Higurashi anime too.

They did adapt some of the stuff in episode 4 well though in some scenes, but not as well at others.

I'll agree with Judoh. I watched the anime before anything else, and even then, most of the characters just seemed kind of.. there. Beatrice, Maria, and Ange really seemed to be the only ones who could express multiple emotions and have story and relationships. Everyone else.. just kind of frizzled out.

Battler was always angry around Beatrice, Eva-Beatrice was just kind of.. crazy for no reason (seemingly), etc.

I don't mind loosing the whole Jessica-Kanon, Shannon-George and so on things, but Battler's prision break and the tea parties would be awful :/

If you can't run Umineko in Windows Media Player (which I think you can't and even if you could, why would you run it in WMP anyway) then we can be 100% sure on which are certainly fake.

Oh jeeze, currently there are screenshots going around of servants Manon, Runon, & Renon.. Shannon's body with Mammon's head, Levi's head, and Luci's head. 2ch is going on that..
Manon = Ma = MAmmon

Likely fakes, but.. those names sound very plausible regardless.
