really cool that they incorporated the ED into the actual show so there's something to watch, wonder if they'll keep that up

Well it was a nice episode, but it still doesn't break away from being anything than an average series.

With the introduction of Hime and her flashback on the first encounter with Saku, I think that she is rather cute to be holding such a random event so close to her heart. Despite the name it was relieving to see that she isn't a school idol tsundere type character (which would be so damn clicled to have). I also found it humorous that she started expressing herself towards Saku after knowing that Mihoshi and him have nothing together but is always doomed to interruptions by none other than Mishoshi herself...the plague in other words.

Maybe there is a deeper side to this story considering that I noticed that Mihoshi took an awfully long time to reply to Saku's mum.

It is a nice relaxing episode overall and damn do I like the look of the girl with long black hair (what's her name again...)

hmmm...this anime kinda reminds me of twin spica...and the leads are both petite...hehe...but they're both kawaii...

Finally got around to watching the first episode, and I enjoyed way more than I thought I would. It's nothing new, but the lovable cast of characters, their interactions, and my love for the stars have made this an easy follow in my book.

Spoiler for Ep2:

Well this episode seemed to move along pretty quickly. Have to say I loved Hime from the moment she came into it. Definitely a cute girl but capable of some pretty quick strikes when the time comes. Couldn't help laughing when she kneed that girl who brought up her childhood nickname, though I probably should feel a little bad. She's just a lovable character and I agree with Deathkillz that holding such a random moment as a precious memory is pretty cute. Hopefully she gets some happy moments through the series.

Personally still think it'll be SakuxMii-chan, but that's because I usually end up liking the underdog.

Do wonder if there is something up with Mii-chan's parents though. Maybe it was surprise at the statement, but it could hint at there being something serious there. Guess we'll have to wait and see on that.

Though he does get dragged around a little glad to see Saku is getting into the club.

Tomatsu Haruka is everywhere this couple of seasons. Reminding me of the time where Hirano Aya had her rush of works earlier in the decade.

Well she is still a raising star (and one with more talent as opposed to the other one you mentioned). I am glad that I hear her everywhere and most of the cases are me looking up the list of VAs and spotting her name (since she is great at changing her voice)

Well, Hirano Aya always gave me the feel that she's not in this business for the long haul. She's probably going to be an OL after she graduates.

In 2015 (she will be 28), at a lunch in a Tokyo hotel:

Young executive from Singapore: Ah, Hirano-san. (shakes hand)
Aya: Nice to meet you.
Executive: .... Wait. I've heard that voice somewhere before... I remember now! You're Suzumiya Haruhi!
Aya (smiling): That was me.

She clinched the deal in the end.

I hope Haruka learns the rules of the game soon. Sadly, talent alone in this business is not enough.

And whilst talent isn't just enough, I don't wish for Haruka to go down the route of "any publicity is good publicity" route. She is fine the way she is, and natural talent like that would be noticed naturally sooner or later.
