C.C. = Christina Cole.

See how insignificant that was? Would you have felt that much better if you heard Lelouch say to C.C. : Sayonara Christina Cole.

I understand what they intended with the ending and all, and it was entertaining I admit. But does anyone else feel a little betrayed by this series? I think back to the first 5-10 episodes of the first season that got me hooked, and made me so excited for this series, how I felt then; and compare it to now; well pretty much this whole season, and I feel like a good story and a ton of good characters were just wasted.

If only they could have just ended it with Season 1 somehow. Now I know that this series has no replay value for me. Watching any of it again would just be depressing. Code Geass this season for me went from being a spectacular Anime; one of the best I've ever experienced to a whatever Anime in just a few short months. It's sad. But oh well. In any case, I'm glad it existed.

Code Geass is definitely one of the greatest of all time. I look foward to every Sunday's release and whether Lelouch is dead or not, they've provided the proper closure for his character. For all those shippers out there, this isn't a romance anime.

More specifically it isn't a romance anime for the main character, because he is to busy conquering the world to have time for sex

The only romantic closure we have had is Vieltta/Ougi, still annoyed at this one because the former lost her appeal the second she became love struck and the latter has always been a bit dull to watch.

At any rate this was painful to watch, in many ways. Then again I have pretty much felt dead to this series since 21. The ending believe it or not was too happy for my tastes. I think it's said before but the whole concept of uniting the world to hate one man and thus that will stop most conflicts is a far out one. It's like the Celestial Being in Gundam 00, it is naive.

It might postpone the conflict but it won't stop wars forever. A good line for this is from the "Meet the Sniper" TF2 video.

"....Because at the end of the day as long as there are two people left on the planet someone is going to want the other dead."

Aside from that it was "okay" I personally liked the Season 1 Finale more, better fights, atmosphere, and ending-(ignoring the fact the ending was a cliffhanger and this couldn't be one because its the last season."

One thing that got me. Why the hell hasn't Li Xing-ke died? What the hell is the point of giving him the fatal flaw of a timed death if he doesn't die? Without it he is pretty much Mary Sueish material.

Is it ever implicitly stated that Anya has any recollection of the events that occured?

I want to say that Jeremiah is loyal to a fault, however, Lelouch is not an idiot, he sees and recognizes the potential that a man of his calibur has, that was why - but perhaps no the only reason - that he spared him and immidiately asked for his help. He is perhaps one of the few that knew about Lelouch's plan and argueably one of two people who were directly told what to do by Lelouch, the other of course being Suzaku.

What I'm getting at, is that if anyone out there knows anything about Lelouch, it's Jeremiah.

Ending it with Season 1, by changing more than just a few things, would've perfect. In fact, if I'd known this was going to a tragedy, I wouldn't have watched it at all (I HATE tragedies... Basilisk was also painful to watch), but a friend of mine who knows good anime recommended this, and hence why I watched; after the few first episodes, it was a case of awesomeness

Then... well, shit starting hitting the fan, and we ended up this way. So much unresolved, and no movie/OVAA to continue it. Maybe an interview with a writer to satisfy us

question to the rest who read this: anyone have a good action series with romance that has a HAPPY ending (i.e., we have the main character staying alive with his girl) that they can recommend? I need a pick-me-up after this

Because the only plausible way for him to survive is immortality, and that would mean he gets to watch as those he loves grow old, die and fade into history forever while he gets to live on...That would be devastating, so it's just better that he separates from them completely and let them think he's dead (assuming he's alive), it's just better for everyone.

Well, the requirements were never made clear as to why someone who was bestowed Geass couldn't kill CC immediately afterward. I doubt whoever gets the Geass has to have some grand megalomaniac plan in order for the Geass to "take." Could be some normal serial killer or something. Mao didn't kill her because he was infatuated.

Besides, there is no way CC could die because then Lulu would be immortal. That would defeat Lulu's whole plan. I really believe Lulu wanted to atone, and only by dying could he atone.

And what i dont get is when lelouch was talking to suzaku before he died and suzaku said, "I except this geass" ... is he talking about the 'live on' geass?
