Ep 7 - not much fun in this ep either, but at least it was a nice story. And they found Sousuke's ball, yay. (And Shino's furry black ball... I mean Megu. Seriously, what is that thing?) And it was nice that the brothers made it rain, but guys, you made it rain for one night, that won't really help the villagers... They should've had Kokonoe or someone talk to the sarugami.

By the way, it's a bit weird how Kobungo has just realized that oooh, Shino has the same mark as the one Genpachi's cheek and on Kobungo's... ass? private parts? I mean, it's a pretty distinctive mark, doesn't Genpachi get questioned about it every now and then?

(And now it's Kobungo randomly deciding to crush on Keno... Poor boys, I see heartbreak in their future.)

I see none so far, save the ship tease between Sousuke and Shino (that I don't expect to evolve beyond that, at least as far as I'm aware this isn't BL), and Foxy and Hamaji but they're just too cute to be true so there has to be something more to it.

Since Kokonoe is Yashahime i wonder how powerful she really is compared to the characters shown so far.

I think I'm ready to drop this one. Is there a plot to this?

Otherwise, they might have to have another season because at this rate, there's going to be a bunch of questions not answered yet.

Asakeno reminds me of Ryuki from Saiunkuoku.

Looks like there's more new characters being introduced....

My opinion is the opposite, since the actual plot is so drawn out and can't be fit into 13 episodes anyway, than why rush it? Focus more on their disturbed daily lives.
The series is character driven instead of plot driven in the first place.

Skipping the prostitute arc is the most unforgivable, a lot of characterization takes place in that arc. Which goes into Shino's take of life and his immortality, as well as the proper introduction to notSasuke.

An arc about Hamaji got skipped too, I know you wouldn't like it either.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm watching this series, but still keep on going anyways . So I say do what they will until this thing ends.

Sure, I agree that skipping too much is not good (and boo, skipping a Hamaji arc), but as far as I'm aware this is not a slice of life manga, right? It has a plot (character driven or not), they've already started hinting at it, so it would be pretty weird if they just left it at that. This is the curse of adapting many volumes into 12-13 eps. :/

So this is probaly one of those cases where the manga is totes better is what you're saying?

I'll give this one more shot.

THAAAANK GOOOOD!! The just move the order of events!! So we'll not be missing anything!!
Thing should be alright if the prostitute arc occurs accordingly after Hamaji's arc.

Traveling to the capital.
Events on the train were pretty LOL
The monk and ice spirit fight was nice.
It was a nice surprise Shino actually knows Yukihime.
Looks like she's a really nice person/spirit.
And so they've made a new friend on the train, Inuyama.

So Hamaji has a long lost older brother. It's both sad and nice what Yukihime did for him. Lol SHino getting in trouble while stating he got lost once and Sousuke didn't know about it. Best parts were Megu and that monk.

Was that Shinichiro Miki as Doutestu?

Anyway, another Inu person joins the clan. Shino is a friend to all of the spirits apparently.

I think this is my favorite episode though so far; Yukihime saves Doutestsu and loses her voice but now she won't leave him alone.

Yeah, it was Miki Shinichirou.

I guess this was a just setup ep and Doutetsu will be back later and his bond with Yukihime will be relevant, but... as it is, it was just an OK ep. Frankly, at this point I'm most interested in what on earth Megu (by Genpachi) actually is, whether it's relevant at all or it's just a mascot, and whether the brothers are going to play any significant role in the eventual plot.

I did lol though when Hamaji snapped at Foxy in the beginning. It was like, "Don't disturb me, I'm having an angsty moment!"

I thought Kokonoe was Asakeno's companion?

is this anime anything simialr in tone to okami Kakushi, Shiki or Higurashi? i dont mind supernatural series but those mysterious types make for a more darker story.

edit: i just watched the first ep, it seems to resemble 11eyes more.
