This looks pretty nice so far - I'm usually not into stuff like the original Gatchaman, but the Tsuritama team might just make it interesting for me. :3

I'm also excited due to the Tsuritama team.
Uchida Maaya is going to be the seiyuu for the main female character according to CR

Pretty much my take too. Frankly Gatchaman interests me very little, but with Nakamura and especially Ono involved, I can't help but have hopes.

Has there been any sort of trailer of key image that shows any of the Gatchaman suits? I'm starting to wonder why they call this a Gatchaman sequel if so far it looks almost nothing like the classic 70's series which was a kind of hot blooded superhero show. Granted I've seen some reboots and remakes before that on the surface barely resemble their source, but I'm surprised that they haven't even provided so much as a thread to link this to the original classic.

Also of note to me and perhaps speaks of how much anime has changed since the original is that the 70's series had 105 episodes (lot of repetition of course) with two 50 episode sequels. Crowds will be clocking in at 12. I'm interested in this cause I've liked a lot of remakes and reboots of old classics like the recent Lupin TV anime and Casshern Sins to name a couple, but also skeptical because so far they haven't shown me why this should be called Gatchaman.

Calling the original Gatchaman "hot blooded" is kind of wrong, IMO. It also wasn't that great, and lost its appeal pretty fast, after its most famous episode, reaching unintentional comedy in the last part.
Personally speaking, the only Tatsunoko remake that I think was better than the original was Tekkaman Blade.
I'm still kind of curious about this one. The name doesn't hold that much significance, despite having seen the original series, to be pessimistic.

Well those shows tended to run incredibly long by today's standards and had a habit of front loading there most famous antagonist designs. Also the original Tekkaman was just kind of ugly and generic, while Blade did what most tatsunoko remakes have done by taking a concept and making it darker. I love what they did with Casshern Sins and adored the movie Karas for its sheer spectacle...perhaps what is throwing me off here is more that this looks like it could potentially be more light hearted than it'd original at first glance.

I learned only now that team Tsuritama is working on this. Definitely a must watch for me even though I have little interest in the Gatchaman franchise.

I'm a sucker for shounen shows where they switch out the shounen male lead for a female lead instead, so count me interested.

This doesn't look like the Gatchaman/G-Force I used to watch as a kid. However there is a green haired charcter in the keyvisual that looks visually "interesting" so I may pick up the series for her sake.

I liked Tsuritama but I don't think I was a fan of it. At the very least I'm pretty sure the Tsuritama team won't disappoint but I'm more interested in the premise (I know little about the original but it doesn't seem like my kind of show so hopefully there'll be major changes like for Casshern Sins.)

Big site update. Including clean designs of all the new characters shown in the key visual. Most of them are Gatchaman organization members.

These are all Gatchaman:

He/she is for sure, as the name is from one of the most known Gatchaman villains. And I think the staff kept his "uniqueness" (though probably not the same idea) with the design.

I want to watch not because of the staff, but because it's Maaya Uchida taking the lead role in a superhero show. Those are two of my favorite things.

I agree, although it might put off a lot of older fans.

Also, is she supposed to be Saya?

You shouldn't have said that. The resemblance is uncanny...

She's pretty much grown-up Saya. And the guy next to her looks like Leeron.
