Umineko will definitely have a season two.

There will be 7 or 8 EPs before it's finished.

8 is most likely since that's what Higurashi had.

Logically their is 4 Question Arcs so their should be 4 other for Answers. That is what Ryukishi has done for Higurashi but since Ep5 is... kinda special and since there is rumors that Ep6 should not be released until next summer, we are not sure of the number of futur games.

S'not very surprising that there will be a second season hence the existance of Chiru.

Though I gotta wonder just how far off we gotta wait for that. I don't play the VN but I know that Chiru has only just begun and there's still no announcement for episode 6's release.

there are no Answer Arcs, they're usualy called Core Arcs. probably for a reason.
7 arcs were confirmed so far.

it will probably take 1-2 years before anime starts airing.

2 Years or even 3, since like we said we don't know when EP6 will be released.
The first serie of Higurashi wasn't called Question either^^
The fact is that we expect the main answers in this "core" arcs, like in Higurashi.
(We really should stop, or transfert to another threat...)

It could be expected... if this first season got popular when it will be released in DVD.
Do we know if this season get more viewers than the Higurashi series?

higurashi:
1st season = question arcs
anime also included anwer ones but forget that
2nd season = answer arcs
umineko:
1st season = question arcs
2nd season = core arcs

i'm just talkig about the naming.

What I want to says, is that the first When They Cry serie was called Higurashi no naku Koro Ni, and not Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni: Questions, so in fact you can't even call Umineko's arcs "Questions"^^.
I mean that the first serie show the main mysteries, and the second to answer those mysteries.

Okay guys really, this has gotten very far off track and isn't about episode 16 anymore. Take it to the EP5 thread before a mod steps in.

i liked the epi .. there are some funny parts
it was funny when Hideyoshi locked Eva-Beatrica's head what the hell!! she is different than his wife, at least he shocks to see his wife became young again .. but he is like " i'll make you remember your good side " ok then, if she remembered .. what is his next move? what about Rudolf & Kyrie corpses?
Hideyoshi is good person .. i didnt like him the first episodes but then i saw his loving side toward his family .. poor guy

itz nice to see Rudolf & Kyrie relationship .. they got strong one
wow she envied Asumu for 18 years, but itz good that Kyrie caring abt Asumu's child "Battler"
the best part is when they killed the furniture .. making a conversion with witches then killed them ... i admit they are strong .. Nice Shots folks

Hideyoshi's disciplining of Evatrice isn't supposed to be funny...

Probably not, but he could've done it in a more...credible way. Otherwise it can be mistaken for humor.

Like just an embrace of desperation could've sufficed, why would he need to bop Evatrice repeatedly over the head? That's almost something a 8 year old would do.

Something I think is worth pointing out: Kyrie is staked in her stomach.

What else is in that general area of the body, and in fact is often associated with it?

A womb.

I'll leave it at that, but I just thought the image of Kyrie's womb being staked through by Envy was deliciously ironic. Poor Kyrie.

The stake that was found in Kyrie was Mammon of Greed. Kyrie actually killed Leviathon.

I think it's also wierd that two stakes were not used for Maria and Rosa. In the previous episodes second twilights stakes were found in Jessica, Hideyoshi, and Eva.

It's strange, two stakes were not used for the second twilight then two stakes die...

Hmm...? Really? Ah, you're correct. It appears today is the day that I am often wrong.

She was still staked through the stomach area though, which makes the symbolism still obvious if less poetic. Greed is a good sin for her too, though. She wanted something she couldn't have, andm in the end, never got it... at least until Asumu died, ohoho.

Maria and Rosa haven't been staked yet, which I find interesting, ohoho. Is it because they're sinless...? Or something else...?
