Christmas came early this year! Awesome!
I admit I never read the novels; I managed to find the English translation, but for some reason or another I could never get into the story. I'm delighted to see that it'll be animated; I've read some spoilers about what happened in the novels, and it'll be interesting to see how those moments look in animation, with voices and colors.

I as well, an OVA that is very true to the original plot and strays very little. No rushing, or butchering of the story. I felt Fate was okay, but UBW movie was simply... sub par. Though I liked the music and action sequences~

Seriously though, I was talking about this with a few people a while ago, I wouldn't be very surprised if Kajiura makes a return to this new ufotable x T-M project. If Urobuchi has anything to say over it (which I don't know, but maybe the staff's interested in the guy's opinion), and seeing recent interviews where he personally asked for Kajiura to work on Madoka, I really think it's a valid possibility. Then again, if they do decide to go with a more orchestrated score, I'd personally like to see Naoki Sato given a chance here. His work for Sword of the Stranger was amazing, and Sato's overall track record is just as good. (Oh goodness, how I love speculating over music before composers get announced. Just imagining some stuff makes me happy, hahaha.)

Yeah, i'd totally go for Naoki Sato to score this. Plus he hasn't scored anything in quite a while, so it would be such an awesome come back.

If this is anywhere near to the quality of Kara no Kyoukai, it'll be great.
Do I have to read or watch Fate/Stay Night to understand and appreciate this? I know Deen's F/SN adaptation was underwhelming, and I way too little patience with the VN medium to read much. |
