Togame's dead at the end, everyone knows this. Well Hiteihime is the holder of the Flame sword (final of the 12 swords). Let's just say she's the strongest boss in this RPG; she killed off the heroine and stole the male protagonist's heart. Hence, it's actually reverse NTR since the female is the one that got cheated.

For the following part, if you enjoy episode 1, please don't read for your sake.

Spoiler for What really happened to Togame:

Romeo and Juliet style. Togame would've had to kill Shichika regardless because she swore to get revenge. She never, ever said she liked Shichika until the very end when she was about to die. Her real identity was found out by the Shogun as well. In a way, it is a relief for her that she didn't have to kill Shichika by her hands.

The scene in the end, where her part words were to revoke all the "commands" she gave him at the end of volume 1, was extremely, extremely beautiful (basically asked him to live for himself from then on). Togame in the novel (since volume 2) have a real fancy for wearing lots layers of clothes (like those courtesans in Japan); Shichika wore all 12 layers of her clothes and charged in single handedly and killed the Shogun in the end.

Honestly, it's not that bad of an ending. Best it's better to find out on your own by watching. Feel free to get attached to the characters, and feel sad after (not being sarcastic here, the characters are the best part of the story, like freaking all Nisio's work ... except Medaka, which had more than 2x the action the rest of his series combined). The most impressionable character for me had like a grand total of 15 or so lines before he got killed so ...

Okay, I just found the site with the translation for that part and.............I cried man, I swear I cried man tears......it's just way too heartbreaking.

Imagine after reading/watching 11 volumes though, and it's like super unexpected. I cried too (0 resistance for this kind of stuff).

The anime better not screw up on the part, and hopefully Yukari Tamura and Yoshimasa Hosoya do a good job (especially for Hosoya, since it's like his 2nd big role ever).

What's even more @)#$(@#)*$ is that I expected it to turn out like some of Nisio's other book's ending, but it didn't ...

On the other hand, I wonder how many people can even stay till the end. Second book's another talk-fest. Even though the ending is freaking hilarious as hell, and you WOULD never expect it coming.

Is there like a new villain every novel? Like Koumori for volum,e 1 and that samurai dude for the second volume? I still think it would be weird if all twelve maniwa dudes don't show up at the end to fight.

Everything asides, I can't wait till Togame get kicked in episode 2. Would be so hilarious, I can't remember the last time the female heroine got hurt in such a hilarious way.

No new info on the ceramic, it's pretty much just a random thing nisio add to the end of the character biography.

EDIT： By the way, what's your fascination with him? You seem to be quite obsess with that character (even though he really doesn't appear again).

I have no idea. I first saw his character design on the official anime website and though 'huh, he looks kind of cool.' Now that I've seen the first episode, I'm scraping together as much stuff as I can on the dude. I really have no idea why. I just love him to pieces!!!
EDIT:I'm also ordering that 'guide book' that came out in December just to see if koumori is in it at all. I just can't help myself.

Definitely. I spoiled like less than 1/12th of the storyline, unless you are desperate for an action type series and you hate the characters/animation then you should keep watching.
