I just watched 10 minutes of it this morning and it totally cracked me up. Like robin said, this thing is 100% pure campiness. The actors must've had a reaaly good time making this movie.... I'll watch the whole of it when I have more time.

Just watched it. It was a nice movie. Fun to watch and I think that's all it was supposed to be. For a movie that was primarily targeted at young girls, it does a decent job of being 'fun for the whole family'.
Was transformed Honey a different actor from regular Honey? I swear regular Honey has a chubbier face. It's not just the wig! |

No, it was still Erika Sato throughout it all. I agree, she looks different in every different camera angle, with or without wig! Pretty weird! And, it's also funky how when she transforms into Honey, her voice gets deeper and gruffer. I wonder why they did that?

That's crazy. Pink wigs just makes girls look better I guess. And I'm sure the deeper voice was just for "Hey, now I'm in battle mode so I'm all tough and gruffy".
The movie does have some fan service (less than five minutes in Honey's running through town in her underwear and a garbage bag). So watch out, even though I'd be more concerned with the acting and the musical numbers if I were you. |
