[I haven't read much of the raws. Just finished the last chapter of the childhood arc and I have this hunch that this novel might go in a direction that is very....disturbing. And some of the comments there are spoilers-ish so this is what I got,

As i said it's only a hunch and an unclear spoiler. It's not a sure thing yet that this will go full Usagi.

And to answer someone's question about Dale being OP, he is, though as far as I read, there are never any fight scenes on-screen. Only stuff mentioned about the fights he had off-screen.

Aye, battles are not really the focus of the story so far as they are only usually mentioned when Dale's out on a job.

It mainly focuses on the lives of Latina, Dale & the people around them (although a more "serious plot" seems to be slowly creeping up in the background mainly from Latina's past).

Yes, Latina is the main source of adorableness, screw race! Cute is cute!

Hmm, well...

Spoiler:

Basically, yes.

She never really saw Dale as a father figure (more like her most important person that slowly turned into true love). Dale was more like a doting guardian rather than a full-on fatherly figure (brotherly at most).

So that of course complicates (more like makes it awkward) things a bit when it finally hit him that the little girl he's been doting on & adores loves him as a man. He was confused for a while & used his job as an excuse to ran away from the situation...that is until he was "forced" to lay down & confront it anyway.

They both find their answers & accept each other's feelings but he of course tells her that they wait a bit for her to fully grow up.

One of the talks between them is that Latina will definitely outlive Dale him being a human & that they may not be able to have a child (she met another demon race who married a human a long time ago. While happy, they didn't have a child). Dale still asks her to be with him until the end.
