How do you locate anime fans?
I.ve been watching anime more than ever right now, and none of the people I know in school seems to watch anime at all, and there is no anime club or anything like that in my school. So, does anyone have any way to find anime fans in a school inviroment without doing outrageous things like screaming "I LOVE ANIME!! HOW ABOUT YOU!!?" through out the school hall?

That may be the only way (attempt to start a club, look for clues on their backpacks etc) unless you know if there are any people there that play games like Magic: The Gathering. There is some crossover with some of the CCGs and RPGs.

hmmm wish there was a club for anime in my school, but for some reason ppl just think anime are for little kids, it's hard to explain to them that anime covers a broad range or spectrum concerning their genre and does not always mean pokemon or DBZ

To the OP: Some areas have regional anime clubs that aren't restricted to any one school. You might want to see if there is one around. Or, you can go on IRC and see if you happen to come across anyone else from your area.
Because for every single anime fan who actually proves that to someone, there is another fan who perpetuates the stereotype. (Just look around this board at the signatures and avatars.) |
