I certainly hope the novels are building up to something...bigger. I'm not expecting another war (although I secretly hoped for one), or a huge rivalry between pirates (although I wanted one).

Novel 8 is the start of a new arc, right?

^No. Vol 8 will continue from vol 7. But Sasamoto did promised actions in it [mantan web]
In case it will be skipped this week, Odette II is a Class II (duh

) ship, like the one that in Ririka's application letter. That doesn't mean the last 8 episodes will be vol 4 to 6 though.

Serenity refers to the Galactic Empire, and Suzerain the Stellar Alliance?

And if the ship blows up, the licence is invalidated, but if the ship is replaced, the LoM is not invalidated?

Are there other insurance companies besides Harold Lyold?

Are there other shipping companies besides Doolittle?

1. Serenity is a star system kingdom that is part of the Empire and yes, the Suzerain planets are the Stellar Alliance.

2. If the ship is destroyed but the Captain is still alive, it's still valid as long as the captain can get another ship. As long as the captain's alive and wants to replace his/her ship, the licenses is still valid.

4.Definitely, if the Doolittles were only ones to own the Empire's shipping business, that would make Jenny a powerful person equivalent to a royal princess.

At the very least, I hope they're self-aware about the pacing and surprise us with an explosive payoff arc and ending after three (relatively) low-key arcs.

1. is it safe to assume that Serenity is then something like an "autonomous rule area" much like Morningstar, or is Serenity the ruling royalty of the Empire?

1. It's just like Morning Star except it's rule by a royal family.

He also can't be properly disinfected in a suit. Since they're keeping everyone else under quarantine anyway, it's simpler to just keep him with them.

Having him in an isolation suit (no need for a full space suit ) among the general population would increase the risk of an accident,and for what?

As for vacuum, yeah, sure, but why would he want to spend his time there, instead of a comfortable ward with his friends?

Hopefully, I won't fall this behind ever again. Finally watched episode 14, and I am glad to see the Dark Queen Chiaki is back. Yeah, looks like the competition between Gruelle and Chiaki for Marika is on, although Gruelle did call Chiaki "Chiaki-sama" in their little side conversation while Marika was talking to the rest of the Yacht Club.

Interesting changes to the ED: Marika's coat has a different cape, and now all the members of Marika's space harem are walking together in their school uniforms AND their job clothes. Wonder if Marika will have any other people join her "space harem".

I am hoping that Jenny does have more interaction with the Bentenmaru. Shame to not see a potentially great future XO to the Bentenmaru (Dark Queen Chiaki will eventually become Dark Queen Pirate Captain Chiaki of the Barbarossa) around to give Marika some of her leadership lessons. Of course, Space Admiral Jenny Dolittle also has a certain ring to it too.

Of course, the Dark Queen has to have a talk with a certain Princess about not stealing her parfaits or mimicking her entrances.

Yes, the Dark Queen always gets her man Pirate Captain.

I adored this. There were also mild changes to the OP (No Jenny, but the Princesses were present in the final shot). I love evolving OPs/EDs, and this was quite classy.

The Dolittle family exercises 大家族主義 (Daikazoku shugi). From what I read from the internet , it is something like "every family members are the workers".
