Well 2013 isn't long ago, My original build is from 2011 but upgrades have me playing Witcher 3 at 60fps in 1200p. Just gotta micro-manage.
I was looking for a 2560x1600 144hz 27" IPS with gsync monitor, but such a thing doesn't exist yet To even drive it for maximum gaming performance I would need something more than a single 970 OC so I guess it's fine for now.

The hardest part was not spending it on other things. I have the bad habit of spending money on things I want on impulse. This was actually in the planning for quite a while.

Considering tat Microsoft ended support for Windows Media Center and I await Silicon Dust to come up with their DVR recording function, I decided to take a plunge on a used Mac Pro 2006, which can be picked up for $225 and have a performance similar to a modern Core i3 (these machines have 2 Xeon Dual Cores, equaling to four cores). With a hack and few upgrades, I managed to make it run the latest operating system. Have a dual boot with OS X 10.11 and Windows 7. The system currently gets 11453 in 3DMark Sky Diver, 5104 in 3dMark Fire Strike, 13824 in 3DMark 06, 2001 (Unigine Heaven with High Quality and Normal Tessellation) and 1077 in Novabench so far. The upgrades I made are 16 GB DDR2 FB-DIMM ECC RAM (4x4GB) Samsung EVO 850 250 GB SSD with a mounting bracket (so it can fit on the drive sled). With this drive, my computer now boots OS X and Windows 7 in a few seconds. Gigabyte nVidia Geforce GTX 950 2GB OC with the required power cable. Why I went with NVidia Geforce GTX 950? Since I plan on playing any Japanese RPG games available along with simulation games like Sims and Euro Truck Simulator, I don't really need a really expensive gaming GPU. Since the GTX 950 is affordable and gives very good performance and is works with OS X with no boot screens and the drivers installed, it's a good choice without breaking the bank too much. The upgrades in total cost $263.68 (SSD, GPU and RAM). Still have to install 3.0 GHz CPUs in for a small performance boost for $3.50, but it's good enough for the gaming I plan on doing while being able to boot OS X (which I use mostly for browsing the web, view TV and watch Anime) with little modification. I can get cheap used Quad Core Xeons to make it into an 8 core if I really need more performance. Of course, most budget computers won't have an SSD or a beefy GPU. Specs: Mac Pro Mid 2006 2 Intel Xeon 5150 at 2.66 GHz 16 GB DDR2 FB-DIMM RAM Samsung EVO 850 250 GB SSD and 500 GB WD Caviar SE 7200 HD (storage for now, will eventually get replaced) Gigabyte nVidia Geforce GTX 950 2GB GDDR5 OC Bluetooth 2.0 OS X El Capitan and Windows 7 Professional (not upgrading to Windows 10 since I don't like forced updates and how it invades my privacy, will probably install Windows 8.1 Professional with Start8 later)

It's finally here. My copy of Persona 4: Dancing all Night (in english) has finally arrived. Look at that japanese P4DAN vita looking all sharp dressed with the western releases skin
PS: Yes, still waiting on the car. Missing parts at the factory meant a delay in production.

Yep, I got some packages during Thanksgiving Break. First is my preorder of Atelier Sophie Premium Box, which I preordered as my birthday, but it got delayed to November. Probably won't get to it since I'm busy playing Yoru no Nai Kuni, but the box is massive. Also, I decided to get a Samsung 850 Pro 512 SSD. Since my 7200 RPM hard drive somewhat have loud clicks one in a while (and not failing SMART oddly) and wanting to speed up my 2 and a half year old Macbook Pro, it's an ideal upgrade. I went with the Pro since I want to have a MLC SSD since it's my main computer and I don't trust any of the TLC SSDs in terms of longevity and performance decrease, even though I do have an 250 GB 850 EVO in my Mac Pro. The performance is very good and the computer boots in seconds. Besides, I don't use that much space since I store most of my stuff aside from documents and music on my server that has a 6 TB (12 TB total) hard drive RAID 1+0 Array and external hard drives
