I had the first date with my new car. Oh, what a beauty (her misano red dress, the 18 inch shoes and the S-line curves)... first I was driving her gently, then harder, and then gently again... I can't wait to meet her again on march 1st.

This might be a hallmark holiday (though actually it has roots further back) but it's a good day for couples to do something romantic that they might not have otherwise gotten arround to doing

In my opinion V-day is a chance to get the fires REALLY going. Though that is just me. I'd imagine I'd be pretty clingy and loving to begin with, but V-day watch out~ So I ended up with no nightmares after watching hours of ghost stories- Lame.

I envy you. I don't have a car of my own ... just rent others and they're mostly old and smell odd. But at least they're very thankful even for the shortest rides.

Hey, as long as they can transport you to the place you want to go... Although I can see how it would be frustrating if they break down before you get there.

Yes, yes. Your point? Mothers day isn't a scam. I believe it was derived from 'Mothering Sunday' which I doubt had anything to do with advertising.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the original intention of Valentines day was in rememberance/homage of the various St.Valentines in the past...

In my opinion, it really depends what you do out of the valentine day.

It is true that the valentines days is a commercialised event these days, but it is a nice opportunity to plan something romantic for the special someone, especially if you know he/she cares. And it doesnt need to cost money. It isnt difficult to bake a small cake in the form of heart, or go for a romantic walk. One doesnt need to buy flowers or expensive valentine cards.

I for example like making my cards myself. As a matter of fact, I already started working on this years card and I mean to put a lot more effort into it than last year. While the last card was actually cute and not lacking in any way, it was done last minute, so it could have been much better had I invested more time and effort into it. Maybe, I will post the picture, when I am done. I finished the outlines and now the card awaits coloring and text.

Otherwise.... I am entertaining the idea of a romantic breakfast in bed......

I don't buy gifts or cards for my boyfriend on Valentine's day. We simple just do something as we normally do. But make it a little more romantic.

Go to work, come back from work. Valentines has usually been one of the busiest times of the year for us; top 3 busiest days in Domino's are valentine's, mother's day and New Year's Eve.

Go home, eat at home, sleep early so I can sleep in.
