[Summer 2017] Nanoha The MOVIE 3rd

lol wtf.

There was like 0 fanservice in the movie, especially compared to the first two movies or even the tv series. In fact, this is probably the least fanservicey of this franchise period. It was deliberately mostly obscured a lala Sailor Moon and they were brief. The way I saw it, it was actually avoiding stuff like that.

This was so short that you had to rewind to see anything questionable. And if you're doing that, the problem is with you.

Wow can't believe a great place like that ended up the way it did in just 10 years and the condition of the father also wasn't very good at all, I can understand the desperation Kyrie to save everything has but ouch can't believe she actually shot Amitie.

So their target is our 3 hero's and especially Hayate by the looks of it, speaking of which there they all including Aris a& Suzuka are about to do some training, nice to see the Wolkenritter are all doing well along with Reinforce Zwei who was sleeping on the job lol.

Nice fight between Nanoha & Fate, lots of actions and excitement for the short during it lasted.

When Iris talked about Persuading Hayate to lend her the book, I wasn't expecting a big car crash and a full on assault with machines, thankfully Amitie was there to rescue her and stop Iris from getting the book, I was rather impressed by her abilities, nice guns.

Kyrie used Formula Suit Set Up, much different than what we are used to, boy she was very impressive to watch as well, Fate was having an incredibly tough time and was losing quite badly, Nanoha though had other plans, barrier jacket purge to escape the bind was a clever move & then to bind and capture Kyrie in that manner was cool, Aimitie to the rescue
once again.

It's sad seeing the sisters fight like that, Amitie just wants to end everything peacefully and go home, even Vita has a blaster now and it's nice to see everyone else get in on the action to
help out.

Just how many tricks does Kyrie & Iris have up their sleeves? Every time it looks like she is about to be defeated she keeps coming back with something different, this system alter burst drive made her incredible and was able to beat everyone, but she did get hurt a lot by shooting herself like that but it worked out for her end the end by getting exactly what she and Iris was after, poor Reinforce Zwei.

Yes the 3 material girls of the purple sky, Dearche, Stern & Levi, very cool indeed seeing them in action, their powers, the way they behave and react to situations and they all have huge robots, I wasn't expecting that part.

Really enjoyed that fight between Nanoha & Stern, the explosions was spectacular, Nanoha was able to produce a great combo to win that fight.

Nanoha & Fate really understand each other well, both of them talking about the hard work and dreams ect as to why they want to protect the aquarium, yeah I didn't think Fate would have a chance until the new Bardiche came along, and it was her mother to the rescue to protect her new daughter, motherly love there taking one for the team like that, the fight did get a little weird after that but fate won anyway, and actually called Lindy mother which was cool.

Dearch & Hayate are both very tired after that exchange but no winner her as Iris just really hurt Chrono and a bunch of people to become a solid form and then betrays Kyrie, I had a feeling that something wasn't right when she manifested the 3 materials.

Ok so Iris summoned Yuri but I don't know they story between those 2 so i was very surprised by what happened, it looked like Yuri saw Iris as a friend but Iris says she's a demon that took everything away form her and has now corrupted her.

Formula mode, ah so that's what Raising Heart wished from Amitie, Nanoha looks awesome in that form and will be safe form their powers after what Iris said about formula power being unaffected by it which is why everyone else was able to be freed from that blast.

Excellent movie 10/10, Detonation is next, very much looking forward to watching it and seeing what happens next.

They will get them. The Detonation trailer shows it.

Well for one I wasn't comparing them to previous ones. In my book lingering on full on chest shot for Fate until suit appears is still considerably worse than what Nanoha got where the camera simply sped past any potential troublesome angles.

Oh well it might be me and everything is fine.

OH THANK YOU SO MUCH on your comment. I ESPECIALLY appreciate the underhanded insults contained in that comment. And no, for your personal information I did NOT rewind just to find something to be offended with (there were plenty of other things that bothered me), and it was something I noticed first time watching it.

And note that my first comment was that Nanoha's one was fine but I was disappointed Fate didn't receive the same courtesy.

Probably. The current fight will probably end with Iris GTFO ing with Yuri somehow, allowing for the devices to be upgraded AGAIN. For the final fight.

Subjective opinion.

Now looking back, this seems to use elements from Force more than GoD to be entirely honest. Sure Florians are there Eltoria, and Yuri too. But their stories have been twisted to slot in Iris, Materials have been changed and aren't even called that. There is all that Force-like weaponry, which while cool is no bueno if it's mass, there is the antagonist essentially having magic cancel (even if it's called hacking) that makes magic useless, the introduction of the main villain is done by shafting Hayate (because to be Hayate is suffering, unfortunately), the body horror aspects of Eclipse with the way how Yuri drains people...

Seems like they tried to use all these elements from these other bits of franchise and CRAM THEM into a story supposedly based on GoD.

No wonder I'm not finding it as entertaining as others. Still better than fucking Vivid, but not good either. Or not as good as it could have been.

OH add a potential former young whiney fugitive (Kyrie) that partially has the powers of the main villain and has a connection to her that will be joining the cast too...

I don't want to linger anymore on the topic, i'll just say that the reaction had to be exaggerated. From a choreography perspective, Nanoha had more awkward angles while she was still bare. Breast focus isn't the only type of fan service.

I wasn't thinking about the henshin originally. I was asking what other scenes did Fate have fan-service to make it sound like that was an exclusive part of her role in the movie.

Que? Honestly it looked like the same thing to me. Actually, there was less light surrounding Nanoha.

And yes, I stand by my statement that these things happen so fast that it is impossible to care unless you're going out of your way. Sure it's a generalization, and you might not have, but really, compare against any other entry of the franchise and I just find it ridiculous. If you want to complain about Movie 1st or 2nd' one's I'd definitely agree. Honestly, I was actually going to write I'm glad they toned it down, but whatever.

Hmm, I did not mean to say it's the ENTIRE reason Fate is there, but from the start of the franchise, Fate's stuff and outfits did tend to be more, risque...
But the thing that triggered my mild annoyance is the chest shot that was unnecessarily long IMO. Especially when they didn't do the same for Nanoha.

I see Fortress like addition to Hayate's arsenal, but I don't see much of a change to Fate and more importantly noone except Nanoha is actually glowing. And glow kinda seems to be a Formula thing?

Fates upgrades have always been cosmetically minor. The difference between that and the one from reflection is still noticeable. Hayate and Fate do get an upgrade of some form.

Yeah. Now I see it. It's REALLY minor. The white trim on the suit is a bit heavier and most noticeable the skirt type has changed from the white to black and white.

Hayate seems to be same except for Fortress.

But neither of them seem to be glowing, so these could just be another BrJ modes.

The cape in the neck area is positioned differently. And gauntlet missing on her right side? There could be more but the right sided image isn't at a great angle to detect all the differences. The changes look minor but I can't recall any of Fates upgrades ever being drastic from a cosmetic standpoint.

I feel like if they already had these modes they would have used them in reflection. And why even tease them in that image when the Detonation trailer still shows them in their reflection BJ.
