.....The more you think about it, the more their society makes less and less sense. THey devote an entire school for glorified sports equipment and teach students IS related material while giving them the bare minimum of required subjects.

"Yeah, it also takes a toll on the pilot when it activates. If the Absolute Defense activates, then what's going to be left to protect the pilot when she's downed?" "Uh, nothing because the Absolute Defense uses up all of the ISes energy, resulting in the IS shutting down and leaving the pilot exposed and vulnerable. Unless the pilot can pull something out of her ass so she can get herself and her IS back up and going again!!" - Brian and Eddie |

Nevermind, I got it: Water repelling scales and the suit is textured like a golfball to allow the person to move with next to no friction. It'd be the perfect suit.....if it didn't kill you every time you used it.
Does a protagonist who dies at the end/near the end of a story count as a decoy protagonist?

@ Senpai - I'm stuck in this part now with the re-write: It's mostly the same; Irish tries to kidnap Cecilia. But that's where it diverges. Path 1 has the same effects as the old one: Him kidnapping Cecilia and Ichika rescuing her. Path 2 is different: He gets caught when Laura notices his odd behavior and takes Cecilia hostage before he's knocked out. This results in him getting arrested till he hears Viktor's plan to bomb the sectors over the radio. Cecilia still gets kidnapped, but she's in noticeably more danger.
Any idea which one I should use?

The first idea tricked the reader that Irish is a villain protagonist, while the second one directly cemented his position as unwitting pawn, both are good, but I wonder why but the second idea seems more fun and tense at the same time.

@ Senpai - The second one makes Viktor more of a magnificent Bastard. Essentially, he used Irish as bait so they could kidnap Cecilia and leave him. Just to be a dick, he even places a bomb on the police car Irish was taken in. Needless to say, Irish isn't happy. Then again, this makes his attempt to stop the bombs more like to Screw over Viktor than any more qualms.
