I'm enjoying the fact that Saito knows he's playing with fire and does it anyways. Makes for the whipping that much more hilarious

Hmm, ep 4 seems a lot more tame than the previous one. Kind of anti-climactic. I hope they return to novel-based eps.

contrary to my initial impression, ep 4 was actually not BAD. and since I have not read the novel, I have no basis for comparison. so, I actually enjoyed it. some scenes made me smile and made me go "aww, that's sweet!". plus, the animation was quite consistent.

the episode was all about Saito's character (and I thought it was about Siesta...); and I must say that I'm liking his character more and more. I actually applaud him for being able to resist Kirche's advances

and regarding Kirche, it was quite sweet of her to bring her leftovers for Saito, even if it's just seduction, flirting and simply annoying the hell outta Louise. I'm slowly warming up to her character.

Would a novel reader care to PM me/or write in a spoiler tag in this thread if some of the minor characters (Guiche, Tabitha, Montmorency) will play a larger roll in the anime later on?

Edit: I just realised something. Is Episode 6 a filler as well? Since the title is something about a thief.

And in Episode 4, at the beginning they were talking about a thief as well....

Just started watching this show. Does she have to kiss the familiar? Thank god it was a boy, isn't it? What if she summon something weird like a jellyfish? ^^

Episode 4 is sweet. Siesta just became my favourite girl in this series (well, there aren't much to choose from between Zero Louise and SuperBust). That mustache guy is just sick, and sadly it does happen, buying women to satisfy their own treacheous desires. Saito, even though they are just acquintances is very considerate to risk himself to save her. Siesta might misunderstood something here though... but earth to Saito, there is absolutely nothing bad about Siesta. Damn, she is probably the sweestest girl he has met. Go for it!

Saito and Siesta makes a very cute couple, probably the best match in the series.

Anyway, episode 04 was lots of fun, just what i'm loving about this series - though i'm hope we get to see more of Saito kicking arse soon.

Ep. 4, after dropping clues about the book being summoned and Kirche mentioning it was supposed to get guys off, my immediate reaction was "OH NOES! IT'S TEH PRONZ!". Sure enough, it was. And the "It's the same as me" line and their reactions was just pure XD. Looks like we're going to see some more action in the next episode (bout time!).

Lol, I'd like to think that too. Maybe at the moment he's just a person of interest (I don't read the novels, so maybe someone can enlighten me) since he's trying so hard to help other people - even if they are commoners - and likes to step their class boundaries.

Bah. Ep 4 didn't do much for me since 1) I knew what was going to happen, and 2) it lacked impact. Hopefully the next episode gets better.

Anyone care to spoil me what the shiny sword does later on in the story? I'm guessing it's defective and is just a decoration, so Saito couldn't get powered up with it.

I think we all knew what was going to happen the Ep 3 preview made it blatently obvious and I was kind of sad they dedicated the entire Ep to focus on Siesta when they could have done the whole thing in a short space of time.

I think the shiny sword is just decorative but Saito can still "power up" with it like b4.
I hated the introduction of the talking sword I was relieved to find the talking sword said little this Ep.

Just from the preview for Ep 5 I gather

Regardless of the plot was expected or not, the episode itself is enjoyable on several parts, plus Saito earns more "cool" points with Siesta who is now in gratitude with him and her infatuation is quickly picking up onto a romantic destination.

Of course, predicting the approach that ZnT is heading for then Siesta's love would end up an unrequited one.

Louise is the very first girl that Saito meets upon being summoned to her world. Right now she's tsun-tsun with Saitos' antics and rebelliousness getting on her nerves, but later on Saito will pull out something serious and emotive to leave a deep impression on Louise, gradually making her infatuated with him, though she will openly deny it first, but later will she express moe to him at several key instances.

An extremely doofus one that did not understand with what he ended with.
