There are times when I update at the speed of sound but alas, I tend to get tired quickly.

Anyway, does it makes sense if the male pilots has their unit being bare bones because assigned unit just doesn't cut it? It's not like they have a spare pilot, so they give the guys a basic frame and let it run as their wish. In exchange of that, they often has to use off-the shelf parts and creativity because their budget is severely limited.

Exactly, hence the strange discount. This is because Cecilia wonder why Rito casually asked for a new backpack, she's not even allowed to have a spare weapon. :|

Funny thing, Kanzashi followed this method as well because Ichika's situation is the inverse, he had the better unit made by the government. (and Tabane has tinkered with it, adding salt to injury when it's revealed)

Reading Heavy Object gives me an insight.

Unlike I.S., when they say Object is invincible to conventional they're right... at least normally. The protagonist repeatedly blown them up because enemy infantry suck ass, relying too much on the Objects.

If anything I.S. infantry will slaughter theirs. :|

If anything, Tatenashi seems to show more overt signs of it. Oddly enough, both of them are pretty popular with the fans.

I like Kanzashi more

Guess I like her personality more. Tatenashi seems more like a girl you'd pal around with, rather than be in a relationship with.

^ Exactly, Reader mostly expect Tatenashi to resist his manly charm for a while... And Ichika's pessimistic assumption alone kicked her from being a harem candidate.

Her role in TLR Stratos summed up:

> Fought Charlotte and win
> Also fought Yui and win even faster
> Challenging Ichika... and defeated in fist fight
> Fought Motemitsu and Saki and lost
> Plotting a fake defection and troll everyone not knowing the plan
> Beat some actual villains
> Profit

@ Demi - She shows a lot given her small screentime. She's arguably shown more than some of the mains:/

Tatenashi: "Ichika you spineless jerk"

She shows up, pwns everything that moves. Moves the plot along by dropping her problems on somebody else's lap without going into detail why she can't be the one to deal with it. I detect another manga influence afoot.
