It finally happened! Very much anticipated. Studio has been announced as Madhouse, coming in Fall 2015.

It would be any OPM fan's biggest dream come true if they get the mangaka himself to work on the animation. Those GIFs clearly show how he know his shit when it comes to making the scenes frame-by-frame.

it is from Bandai visual, so i expect Production I.G, Sunrise or BONES for the studio, but they won't have enough budget for that...

As awesome as this news is, given the fact that entire chapters can be made into 5 second gifs, isn't there a current lack of material?

Or are they going to just have a 1 cour anime?

I can't think of many studios that can do justice to Murata's art. They better have picked a good one.

Well if they eventually just follow ONE's version of the manga rather than Murata's they'd have a lot more material to work with

Erm? But Tokyo Ghoul production values are great comparing to most of Pierrot's series. Animation is the minorest problem of the series.
