I just love the ELS. They adapt so damn quickly and can generate practically anything they assimilate. They put the Borg and the T-1000 to shame. Their form of GN technology is quite unique and wonder where it truly originated from. Either from their home planet like some people are theorizing or by copying the GN tech from the ESF and CB.
I have a question about their hive mind. When they generated GN missiles and fired them, do you think they were small ELS going on kamikaze runs trying to blow up GNX-IVs? Of course the obvious answer would be they can remote operate detached portions of their body. But which ELS forms are remote operated and which ones do they truly inhabit? I also wonder if any of the ELS individuals (Doesn't hive mind mean many acting as one?) can truly die when their physical forms are destroyed.

They will, of course, biologically die, whatever part it that got destroyed but each destroyed part is likely very irrelevant to the whole, much like an individual's cells can be irrelevant to the larger organism. I think ALL things ELS are part of the ELS collective lifeform, including those small crystal things that eat up people. All is one and one is All, unlike humans who are individualistic in nature, probably still very much so even after they all become Innovators sometime in the future.

Anyways, regarding them being a hivemind, I recall Billy saying that they used Quantum Brainwaves or something at some point (in order for something so collectively massive to function properly, he said), one scene where he was discussing them with Mina. I havent analysed the context deeply yet but I got the impression that's what he said, at least from the gss subs.

They so easily transformed their forms into GNx-IVs and ESF Battleships and the assimilate and adapt hell of fast. They make the Borg look like amateurs. From my observation they look they convert any material (metal, biological, etc.) into what they are (living metal) when they assimilate because when some of those small drones attached themselves to some mobile suits they didn't look like they could assimilate the entire unit with their limited mass.

I was watching the movie and it occurred to me...
How many missiles does the Harute have in that container? I mean, Zabanya releases all of its missiles in that one epic burst, but Harute's CONSTANTLY got missiles streaming from it in nearly every scene it is in during the final battle. It was awesome-looking and all, but sheesh! |

I know the Harute releases all its missiles in the scene it transforms into Marut mode. But I don't see any other instances of it releasing any missiles in the final battle, with all of its ranged-attack abilities taken care of by its Scissor Bits.

Yeah, I just rewatched the final battle (it's still awesome, no matter how many times I see it) and Harute doesn't unleash its missiles until it goes into Marute mode.
Has this been posted yet? The Quantum System is so godly that you can order parts |
