Anyway, to change the mood, let's move on to the IS tendency of each countries. Are there trends in each country for what kind of IS would they make? For example, Japan is High-speed CQC, America is Stealth and Multi-role,...

Yes, HEAVY WEAPON is not a sci-fi, and neither do I. But have anyone see the big picture? In every paragraph of it, I could feel an air of sarcasm. And that is not a thing that everyone could do.

Like I said, it's amazing, for a Light novel it definitely is.

But Kamachi's biggest charm in all of his works is to bait the reader to dig deeper, and then SCIENCE get in the way of full enlightenment for me. So it's really apples and oranges.

To be fair, Rain is the very first one who write 'serious' I.S. story full of action, while everyone else wrote self insert to pair themselves with Charlotte or half-assed AU (enjo kosai? Blah)

Meh, that is a weird thing. My story is a half-assed one, and yet it still overshadow some good OC stories. That just irked me to no end!

Hope Age, Jak and Strato complete their work soon! Look like that we gonna need a counterattack to the current mindset of fandom. Or a purge...

By the way, which kind of Mecha do you guys think that would suit Ichika?

This kind of discussion tends to grind my gears, not that it's a total bad thing because one thing I think the majority of the fandom got wrong is that the IS CANNOT be defeated.

The way I see it, you CAN defeat an IS. Only thing you can't destroy is it's Core.

Superweapon or no. Just take notes from past supermechs... There are stuffs like Pilot competency, opponent competency, environment bla bla bla. You can pilot an IS but if you don't know how to deal with your enemy, gone.

Sure, small-arms conventional weapons may not be able to harm an IS but don't tell me you can survive a direct hit from a nuke. Not even the GP02, built to withstand nuclear blast, can live through one without extensive damage.

Not sure what environment would raise an IS' power level. But to reduce... I dunno, lots of EMPs?

Also, I seem to be recycling ideas in my own fanon. Once I came up with an idea of an IS that has wheels for feet but now I'm considering to use that for the second non-IS OC machine in Athena, the Formula Frontal.

How do you disable a high-speed car without causing it to trip and tumble about?
