Ahh, nice to see the translation has progressed. Seriously can't wait to read it. I need my Umineko fix. Lucky for me, I still have the anime.

Very good news. Hopefully when December hits discussions will be more lively and flowing with VN players on equal footing and not having to hide everything Ep5-related under spoiler tags or not mentioned at all.

I would just like to thank Witch Hunt for introducing me (and probably the rest of the VN fans who can't read japanese) to the world of Umineko.

Seriously, a finished ep5 patch would make a much better Christmas/Birthday gift than anything I usually get.
I await the day when I can finally visit the Umineko TV Tropes page without fear...

Keep up the good work Witch Hunt! Though after this, then we'll be watching out for Episode 6 spoilers

Hi.
I don't know if this is the best place to post this...
I read Umineko at my Linux box, with onscripter-en and the 4.2 patch. At the 2nd day, when battler and beatrice discuss (after the halloween party) the onscripter-en close and show this on terminal:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc
I read about that error and is bc a memory fault, but, I dunno.
Then, run the onscripter (normal one) with umineko (original in jap) and the same error is showed.
Someone know about this?

Hi ranmaruhibikiya,

Can you try the most recent onscripter-en release (20091106) and see if you still have that bug? I've been trying to deal with memory leaks where I can, but there are likely some still around.

For some reason whenever I go to full screen mode, I have a two black bars on the far left and right side. Does anyone know how to fix this? I recently updated to Windows 7 and this problem did not happen on Vista =/. My native resolution is 1680x1050

Sounds like your graphics card isn't set up correctly. If you're given a graphics card option panel (I have Intel graphics and it has a little tilted-back blue box in the taskbar that I can right-click), go in there and change the "preserve aspect ratio" setting to "no border" (or something similar). If you don't have something like that you might need to install the vendor drivers so you can change that setting.

I prefer the little black bars though - they keep the images in proportion XD.

I can't seem to find any similar options in the Nvidia Control Panel.

EDITTED: Found it, but for some reason when I try to change the setting and click on apply, it automatically revert back to use display's built in scaling.

EDITTED: I fixed it by switching to a smaller resolution and changed it there and then switched by to my native resolution. It works somehow xD

Wait, why wouldn't you want the borders? Things don't look good when you stretch a 4:3 display ratio to 16:9.

Thank you.
Yeah, the problem is still there.
I'd tried compiling the source and the binary for ubuntu.
