I do not remember too much of the final battle beyond the Kallen and Suzaku fight. Still it strikes me as somewhat unfair as the Britannians in general seem to have better weaponry then the Black Knights, in terms of their grunts of course.

not like the wards being shown to be better then akatsukis and again, pretty much every combat engagement between mooks you see during the last fight (i checked) sees the black knights coming out on top either completely wiping of the other side, or killing more then they are losing i'm not talking about aces here i'm talking mook vs mook

the joke is, we dont actually see the battleships doing ANYTHING during the battle
at all we bearly see them doing stuff normally, but during THAT fight, we dont see anything which is funny when you consider how many of them there are

Suzaku
If Suzaku had lost the conflict with Lelouch in Stage 25 of Season One, would Charles had made him a member of the Knight of the Rounds? How would his life had been if his request was denied? Would we had seen Suzaku in the research department as he was in the first season? How would it had affected his relationship with Gino and Ayna? Would we had seen him and Cecil as more than just friends? Inquiring minds want to know.

If Lelouch had won, not only Suzaku would have been afffected, the whole goddamn universe and premise of R2 would be compromised. Him and Cecile are hardly the ones that should be focused in.

The show would be Code Geass S2, which could have a different storyline from Code Geass R2. If the creators want to bring back Lelouch, this is the best way of doing that rather than continue the story from where Code Geass R2 had left off. Since the Zero Requiem has been played, the new story could actually take its time, moving forward, to develop into an epic saga. The minor characters, like Tohduh(the Japan Liberation Front),Charles(The Holy Britannian Empire), and V.V.(The Geass Cult)could have a bigger role in the story. The format of Season One could be restored this way. The new storyline could expand to 2 additional seasons. But this is just my opinion. |

the whole point of zero-requiem was to PREVENT a situation where lelouch is a the greatest karma hudini in the show
take that away with a "new ending" and you kinda erase the whole POINT of zero-requiem even if you make it an alternate universe version because lelouch STILL gets away with everything he did in season 1

Well what if Lelouch had gotten away with it?
Now would it have changed many people's impression of the series? I'm not sure there would be anywhere near an uproar in the fandom if Lelouch had gotten the "good ending" since half of it wishes he were still alive anyway. Sometimes the assholes win, and the people cheer for it.

I'm one of those who cheers when the bad guy wins. This isn't because I'm evil or anything like that. It's more because I think that there is no black and white, good and evil in the world. Bad guys usually are just misunderstood, and if well written they have complex and valid reasons for their evil ways...
I mean, just look at Lelouch, he is a bad guy and yet people worship him even now.
