Alright so I logged into the community forums to get a grasp of what's going on, then I noticed that the Swiftsure has completely disappeared!
Now I have no idea where my old guild is, or where my toons have gone. Anyone here been following the SWTOR saga so far? What's been happening in the game, and where are the Oceanic players are now? All I do know is that the official ANZ servers are a death trap. As such, where are they now?

Shouldn't the server list say where your characters are though?

I haven't logged in yet because my sub's expired. I just wanted to check out the server forums. However, I can't find Fatman or Swiftsure on the forums. Do you know if those servers are still up or have they been merged with something else?

There's only 8 US servers now and yeah looks like Fatman and Swiftsure are gone.

Means they will probably get one more payment out of me before then.
Come to think if it I never did finish the story. I was on Corellia last I looked. ( I managed to change servers earlier)

You'd still need to buy the client off the shelf. Kinda like GW2. Quote:
Anything but the Oceanic servers that I didn't want to transfer to!!

I didn't see it anywhere that says you still need to buy the game off the shelf. Buying the game and subbing just gives you extra coins and a coin stipend monthly as long as you're subbed. Just like LoTRO.

I'd just reroll on the Harbringer if the Bastion proves to be too empty. @Itekro Jekjek doesn't sound familiar... How many times did your character jump servers? @Destined ah I see. No wonder they are giving you coins just for that. As for me, I just upgraded to digital deluxe, for 5 bucks.

For anyone interested it was just announced that SWTOR's Free To Play option goes live November 15th. Like several other MMORPGs (Age of Conan, Rift, LOTR Online), there will be two types of gameplay, subscribers who pay the usual $15/month and free-to-play accounts. Just like the other MMORPGs, F2P accounts will have limited everything, or almost.
The one major downer (imo) to F2P accounts is that one cannot equip purple-rarity items (legendary is what it's called I think) unless you become a subscriber or you obtain cartel coins (cash shop currency so to speak). F2P accounts get some cartel coins, subscribers get a lot more, and returning players such as myself will get additional cartel coins. Alongside the F2P option, there will be new content added, from the looks of it, it will most likely be PvE content. Just check out the main website for more info. I will return as a F2P in the beginning and will probably make a Republic Guardian or Sage. If I'm convinced to fully return as a subscriber, I will continue my Sith Marauder from when I quit in February (he's pretty decked out, tier 2/3 PvE gear and tier 2 PvP gear; however, it's been so long so that gear might be outdated haha).

They're selling a lot of silly things, like you can't sprint if you're a free to play player, you can only resurrect so many times per day before you are forced to res at the med center, etc. It's probably the most ridiculous free to play option of any MMO I've seen in a while.
