I think Taylor Swift is too feminine to be Saber. If I remember correctly, Saber's described as beautiful but in a bishounenesque-way in Fate/Zero in third person's perspective (Shirou's opinion is biased, so...): "The air of Saber's cold and hard face isn't that of a feminine complexion."

Ufotable seems to capture it because she pretty much can pass as a trap with ease and Waver looks girlier overall as comparison.

She's supposed to be able to pass as a pre-pubescent male, as that's what 99% of those alive at the time believed her to be.

Yeah, she's more handsome and dashing than pretty in a feminine way. I think that Ufotable is extremely good to bring this out (just compare her with their animated versions of Rin and Sakura in Vita port op, she's closer to Shirou in vibe than the other girls. Kind of perfect).

Can Taylor Swift pass as a 14-16 years old beautiful boy? I don't think so. She'll be a better Nero.

That's not because of her looks though. I'm pretty sure it had to do with some Merlin magic. At the very least, it wouldn't be outside of his ability to fool everybody's eyes with some illusions or whatever.

Plus even if she looked girly, what is some random peasant guy to do if they think so when all of the knights and the royal family swear that she's a guy?

not Merlin's magic, i think Saber explain her physical age was frozen when she drew out Calibern. it was the sword's magic not Merlin's.

For some reason I specifically remember a Nasu interview or comment or something where he was just like, "Well, you have to figure Merlin would be able to handle it somehow!" But it's all off the top of my head so who knows.
