I just bought "The Gokusen" (complete series) and "Magical Witch Punie-Chan"

Both very funny in wildly different ways!

The most recent anime DVD that I purchased was all seven volumes of "Full Metal Panic" as a boxset which is also what I am currently watching. I have almost finished the series with only two more volumes left and I absolutely adore it! A serious mecha themed anime mixed with school day comedy. The entire atmosphere of the anime changes when it switches between the two making the series itself complete genius. I have never seen this before from an anime, except Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, but this is beyond amazing.

My previous manga purchase was Blood+ volume 1 and I loved it. The artwork that Asuka Katsura produces is amazing and I definetly plan on buying more.

On your recommendation, I watched some of Full metal panic. Not really my taste, but I'm always excited to check out new ones that look like they have potential. I'm pretty selective. Alot of my family visited recently, so the last few days have been interesting checking out their recommendations.

At the behest of a good friend of mine I bought the DVD Pioneer version of Akira.

Suffice to say I am still trying to pick up the pieces of my head after having it totally blown up from watching this masterpiece.

I think I might end up getting the BluRay edition of it.

Full Metal Panic! Sigma Vol 1-4.

Read them as soon as I got them and now I'm hungry for more.

Damn it.

Aria the Natural box set 1 and Nanoha/Nanoha A's. Now I'm broke. It's worth it for Aria and Nanoha though. Now to get money for Aria the Natural set 2 and Aria the Origination when they come out. Especially the Origination.

Hadn't bought any for about 6 months....bought a crap ton while I was in Japan...100~300yen/pop used. Mandarake had most of the new ones for about 20~30% off MSRP. Thank god for rolling carts...moving around the airport would have been unbearable if carts didn't exist >.>

Kanon 1-6. I got lucky and managed to find most of the DVD volumes online, except for vol. 5 which I picked up at a local Best Buy.

As for manga...I have no idea. It's been a while since my last purchase.
