Pretty much, though it's not 100% definite. There's gonna be an epilogue and, I'm willing to bet, sporadic chapters or maybe a full blown sequel of Kiyosho and co. in their second year.

The story from the beginning has always focused on the whole facade culture of Japanese society, the "出る杭は打たれる"adage of "the nail/hammer that sticks out gets hammered down". Kiyoshi, Hana, Mari, Kate, Risa etc; from the beginning they try so hard to deny and conform with what "other people" think of them and it made them miserable their whole arcs were about accepting their kinks and in the end they're all genuinely happier and kinder people, Chiyo who is basically the quintessential normal person was basically corrupted by their efforts and became, probably, the antagonist until some other poor sod can help her.

Kiyoshi in the end is in bliss that he doesn't have to hide his pervertedness anymore.
Hana is happy and unaffected anymore being peed on by Kiyoshi.
Mari now accepts that she loves guy butts.
Risa has an outlet, Andre, for her weird pain=love personality.

LOL I'm just reading about the ending summaries from the last few posts here. This is nuts. However, come to think of, the series already went off the deep end since a while ago during the kibasen games with giant scale andre and all that stuff. Kiyoshi's dumb confession plan was dumb from the beginning. What was I expecting from this.

Hope this mangaka's next story is better because his art is amazing. Someone just needs to rein in his crazy and make him stick to a story.

i agree, after the games and then all that chapters lead to nothing and then the "birthday" party of chiyo all that was kind of boring to watch i spected more than that.

There is not secret that this series got axe but there is no official reason why it got axe.

Seriously I catch up the manga on chapter 265, and on that time there were no sign of it going to end soon. But yesterday ,I got a sudden news that it ended on chapter 277...
And the ending it just plainly bad , not appropriate for comedy/romance genre, and no closure what so ever. More like a beginning of new arc with a new warden ,Chiyo.
The author better fix his series on the epilogue and give it atleats a proper ending.

I blame the Author dragging the Cavalry game too much. It was basically a whole year of that arc only for it to end in a lame draw. Maybe the publishers got tired of the story because of that.

It's a lot of factors honestly, usually the end of the year alot of series get the axe and they wanna start fresh with a bunch of newer ones, the author didn't help the situation much by dragging the stories so much, I guess his sense of humor didn't carry well into the story. Personally the decent it's not bad just sudden.

Last tankobon is out and it's fucking disappointment. Additional 4 pages only show boys going from dark room to outsite and saying it's wet shirt contest (despite all of them wearing prison suits). Hiramoto trolled us again.
