Calm down, the game was only announced 2 days ago. This is just Capcom's way of whoring out their website/blog to people to raise profit then magically announce a month later that it will indeed be localized.
They would be idiots NOT to localize it...Professor Layton being highly successful and Phoenix Wright having a very loyal following. |

Well, don't know if people know about this yet.... but Level 5 had hosted a poll on Facebook asking the fans what game they would like to be localized...
And Proffesor Layton vs Phoenix Wright had won the poll ith about 6000 votes. Soooo.... I figure that it should atleast help it get localized faster.... right~?

Bloody huge Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton fan here- bring those two worlds together! Surpass my expectations! Shatter my reality!
Anyways, if nobody knows the basic outline of it yet, I frequent an Ace Attorney forum as well so here's the basic gist: - The court procedures are known as the "Witch Trials", for the defendant(s) are witches that hide within the city. - The game will feature traditional gameplay from both Professor Layton and the Ace Attorney games. This means you will be able to solve puzzles, search for evidence, and fight it out in court. - There will be feature length anime-style cutscenes in the game. - Both Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright's worlds suddenly collide as they find themselves in an olden city known as Labyrinth City. This city is run by the main antagonist, Story Teller. It should be duly noted that while Level-5 have probably now see more reasons to localize this game, it is still TBA in Japan, so we're looking at at least another full year or so before getting some localization dates and whatnot. In the meantime, we have Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles and Ace Attorney Investigations 2 to look forward to. ^^

Just figured I'd bump this up to let people hear Phoenix Wright's voice from the english version of the game...
http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nint...5517.html#Demo Yeah... looks like Sam Riegel won't be returning to this one... though since this game is being localized from a different company than Dual Destinies, I guess it's to be expected... but... really? That doesn't sound close...

I'm playing this game right now. I haven't played any Professor Layton game and played a few PW games, but I'm digging the puzzles. With that being said, I think the game is a very nice blend of gameplay mechanics from both IPs. I think I'm nearing the end, and the intensity is ramping up in the best possible way. Also, Darklaw is bae
