The ongoing Sola I think...
and also Rec and Hantsuki are both less than 12/13 episode but they're so nice... Saikano ~ Romance/Sci-fi Air TV ~ Romance/Drama BTW Black Lagoon and Rozen Maiden had both sequels so if you will liked them just continue

^ I definitely second Sola.
Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu - romance/Drama/SciFi (very good, and only 6 eps) Futakoi Alternative - romance/comedy/drama. Among my top5 animes. If you don't mind mecha: Soukou no Strain - action/SciFi/drama If you don't mind relaxing, slice-of-life animes: Aria Shinigami no Ballad - very good and only 6 episodes. Fantasy/drama Hellsing - action/vampires

Mmm with short i thought only 6 :P theres quite alot of 12 episodes anime.
Iriya no Sora: I second this one to. 6 episodes Juuousei/Jyu Oh Sei: Another one i agree with as posted above. 11 episodes Hanbun No Tsuki Noboru Sora: Only 6 episodes. I definitely enjoyed it. FLCL: haven't watched it myself. But it is on my list to watch. Heard alot of positive things about it. Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na: 12 episodes. Love this one. Really enjoyable watch. Today in Class 5-2: 4 episodes. Elfen Lied: 12 episodes. Suprised no one mentioned it yet :P Aria the Animation: 13 episodes. Watching this anime will just calm your mind.
