well, technically they are stilll unkillable on the island so I guess the getting up is fine.

I'm glad that they had to pull in laxus to fight hades. Otherwise it would have been an asspull. Hopefully the rest of the crew (except gildarts and maybe urza) stays out of it.

If Makarov cannot beat Hades, I don't think Laxus could do it either...

may be with the help of Jellal???

p.s. the troll in the beginning is not good enough, since there is not enough Wendy service

well, we never got to know how strong laxus really was compared to makarov. + he isn't alone. there are other people who can help in the fight. not least of which are the other S class peeps. And I guess zeref if he puts his foot in.

On Naruto Forums somebody was joking that maybe in the past FT was a dark guild, I do not think that, but it would appear that Makarov took the nakama crap up a notch after Purehito's time? It's weird though since when they started fighting Makarov said he got all those traits from Purehito in the first place. Well Mashima is so busy with stupid wendy pseudocliffhangers that maybe he forgot to check if what people are blabbering makes sense. LOL @ Lucy's reaction to Horologium's unexpected rescue of Wendy. I have to admit, that's one possibility that never crossed my mind... I'm happy that we didn't have to wait several chapters to find out Wendy's fate.

To be fair, blowing up a town seems to be in the spirit of fairy tail. Judging from the extensive collateral damage they do on missions

Logically since he deduced Makarovs "message" to him at the end ch 215. We may or maynot get more detals next chapter, like how he figured out the message and where they were.

Let's not read too much into that, it's probably going to be something along the lines of 'feeling there was something he had to do' or 'feeling his comrades were in trouble' or something like that.

On why Laxus could beat Hades where Makarov couldn't... have we forgotten the past chapters where they time and time again hinted at Makarov's failing health? Powerful though he still is, Makarov is long past his prime. And unlike Hades, he is not reaching for dark arts, which are almost always filled with all kinds of neat ways to cheat time.
