Uh, there is a huge gap between groundwater and molten rock.

What Demi meant is that digging far enough and you'll eventually hit an aquifer, the point at which ground water rests on impermeable bedrock. No amount of digging, however, will raise that level any higher than it already is, and the idea that a huge amount of water will immediately pool in the crater is ridiculous. It'll just be a crater, not an instant lake.

But that's not how it happens anyways, considering the city is flooded before/during the battle.

So why the heck is Nanoha fighting over her hometown if she knows a Starlight Breaker will transform it into an ocean? Because last I heard, the fight with Fate took place over her home city.

But last I heard, the final fight between Nanoha and Fate took place over Nanoha's home city, with a barrier to protect the innocents. How does it get flooded? Why does it get flooded? Why does Nanoha keep fighting instead of trying to save her family and friends?

Unless Nanoha and Fate somehow end up back over the ocean. Then letting Fate fall dramatically won't end badly.

yeah. thing is, most people talking here are those who haven't seen the movie, and i don't trust first hand information, much less second-hand :P
