as for Onix evolution into steelix (I know we have the mega steelix) it might be like a diamond steelix. Even though the pokedex states that steelix is comprised of materials harder than diamond, unless it becomes something made out of obsidian possibly.

I don't remember those snorlaxes, but I remember the crystal Onyx. I liked that! Unfortunately, I think the fact that Steelix has a mega evolution possibly lowers the probability of that happening.

The Snorlaxes are from the third Pikachu's Winter Vacation OAV.

I don't believe those are "wild encounters", it's a little closer to how items used to be hidden in the 3rd generation games.

You should read the comments on youtube, the lore of Trumpgoose running out the Alolan Rattata (who look mexican) and then Rattata evolving to adapt to the new Trumpgoose regime is funny as heck.

Also, Alolan Rattata is now truly Top Percentage Material since it completely walls Lunala.

Read the backstory on each Alolan form, the Alolan form themselves are a form of evolution or vice-versa.

Actually, daytime/nighttime is playable in both games. The main difference: Sun follows the 3DS's clock as it is, while there's a 12 hour time difference between the time on the 3DS clock and the "game time" in Moon.
