Speaking of which, anyone think the line of dialogue Kanade says just before the cat appears is a coincidence? I sure don't.
The other big laugh moment for me was when Shuu called Hana on the phone, and she frantically straightened up her room when she heard who it was. Really sweet, subtle and very funny.

Akane seems to me to have an odd sense of what she feels she should do (shown in her speaking to her older sister about being the class rep) even if it could potentially be uncomfortable or unpleasant for her - and for the unpleasant things she seems to rely on her family a lot of the time to help her through it. Maybe she feels that flying to school would be somehow "unfair" somehow too? Who knows?
Perhaps part of her knows and feels it right to be seen alongside the everyday folks? So part of her feels that she "ought" to do it even if unpleasant, but clings to her family for help through it? She is definitely more than willing to get her hands dirty though, and roll up her sleeves to do "un-princess-like" work, labor or tasks. Another possibility is that if she flew she might be alone ... it could be that she really likes being with those she is close to or comfortable with ... like her friends in school or her ... family. Could be that she does not like being alone either.... Just thinking aloud here....

I was still not feeling it through the first half. There were some interesting ideas and moments, but I just didn't care. But I am a sucker for a girl in love, especially when she is such a nice mix of not-quite-excessive comedy with real feeling. You can see the honesty Shu admires. The fact that she was able to come out with her feelings was a nice change from the standard embarrassed writhing. The idea that the prince would go for such a simple girl was pretty satisfying. And you can see how he might feel that way, even if only because she does.
Nice work by Aisaka Yuka, a newish seiyuu who was Kotone in Sakura Trick, Tail Blue in Ore Twintail ni Narimasu and Usatan in Etotama.

Episode 2:
It's sad that Hana Satou got dejected after Shuu-chan rejected her confession. But still, it's not the end of the world for Satou-chan! Meanwhile, it's sad that Kanade will have to save up some money after summoning a wall made of specialized materials! |

I enjoyed that episode so much! It was so cute. Haven't felt that giddy in a while. I think this'll be promising to watch in the long run. I wouldn't even mind if the whole series revolved around Shu and Hana. I felt so fluffy after watching that. Last edited by OhHaiThar; 2015-07-14 at 15:12. |

Before we get to see Episode 3, I have a question here: the Sakuradas are without question the ruler of an alternate-universe Japan. How can this premise sidestep the Japanese taboo against talking about the Emperor of Japan in fiction? Just because they have a royal, instead of imperial, title?

just started watching
so... Reality TV in anime form with special powers? Interesting and weird powers here... Some of them works in a really weird way... --- such as how does "materialize" something would auto take money from your bank account... how does that even work? like a dragon... that doesn't even exist in the "RL" world, how do you decide how much it cost in term of money?... makes no sense. in most superpower series, this type of power gives what you want by using the "material" that's around you instead of your money... LOL --- and the "gravity"... I know she can make them weightless, but how does she "move in mid-air". Sound like this power should be renamed as "flying" or "telekinesis" instead. --- Invisible Work sounds strangely like photomemory... hehe... --- calculating possibilities may seem good, but it doesn't do that much if it's just numbers.... plus, a computer can do it too, LOL, not so special --- Multiplying yourself into 7 of you sounds like it could be really "fun"... --- BTW, did they ever mention the Dad or Mom having any sort of powers too? (or is this just a special thing for kids?) Last edited by chaos_animagic; 2015-07-17 at 10:43. |

Ep 03
Another heartwarming episode. Despite the grim face of the king at the end there somehow I knew he was chuckling inside at the situation. I like how each of the familiy members are slowly, slowly becoming more distinct in their personalities. Also - the arrival of Borscht! So he was a stray that got taken in by Hikari, eh?

So, Ep3 animates two of the day-in-limelight chapters (Chapter 2 as 3A, Chapter 7 as 3B) plus a chapter in Volume 2 (Chapter 14 as 3C). Not only we saw Hikari, Teru and Shiori, there's a bit of Haruka as well.
Both Hikari and Teru don't look very smart. Hikari looks generically ditzy (even you get on stage with your real name, does that actually improve your chances in winning, Hikari?), and Teru looks like a future dumb jock with a case of chuunibyou (which is natural in kids of that age). Shiori is obviously wise beyond her years, and clearly their first errand is basically her work; Haruka looks cold and calculating (recall his superpower), but... not really as calculative as Kanade that is. Yeah, I'm puzzled with the King's weird eyes when he agreed to put Hikari on stage.
