A day before the Silverior Gospel incident, Chihuyu calls all 5 heroines to her room and ask them about the reason for being in love with Ichika.

This is also the first time Chihuyu shows her true self to them.
(a care-free, alcohol-loving ordinary woman side which even Laura did not know about before)

After listening to all the answers from the girls, she begins to brag about all the good things that happens when having him around. Some of them are;
- He is a great cook.
- He is great at housework.
(He used to do all the house chore because Chihuyu was always out working to make living for both)
- He is an excellent masseur (Cecilia gets to experience just how good he is...)

After all these bragging, The dialogue between them goes like this.

Laura : Um... are you giving him to me?
Chihuyu: Who said that I'd give him away? You fool.
Girls : (WTF...)

interestingly its the same scene that led me to believe she indeed does have brocon tendencies .

It is more like if Ichika is her personal maid and she definitely don't want to a maid she has trained so hard.

I thought the reason why she "disappeared" after the first international win as an IS operator was because of Ichika. I guess you can read between the lines, but it's definitely more than protective. I don't remember where I read this but the Ichika got kidnapped or something right.

Yes, the reason she disappear was indeed Ichika, but that's only because some group decide to kidnap Ichika to blackmail Chifuyu. She leave the tournament right away(I kinda forgot was it the 1st or 2nd) to help Ichika right away. This incident is also the one that make Ichika want to be strong and make him unlike other harem lead.

In the 4th(and last) episode of Vol.4, All 5 girls find out that Ichika is staying at his house for the weekend, (It's during summer break) and sort of march into Ichika's house without notifying him, planning to spend some time with him.
(Actually, each girl plans to do that in order to spend time with him alone, but they happened to execute their plan on the same day...)

Anyway, Ichika and all 5 girls are havng a good time when Chihuyu comes home, planning to rest for the weekend.
But when she sees the 5 girls, she begins to feel uncomfortable and lie about having to go to work again, and leaves.

After leaving the house, she goes to a bar she used to visit, and meet Maya. (She called her to have a drink together)

And here is the dialogue between them.

C : I was, but there were girls at my house.
M : Girls...? Ah! You mean Ichika's...
C : Yes, our students... well, the usual members.

M : What do you think? Are you concerned about having girls around Ichika?
C : Well, about that...
C : You see, about the incident on last month...
M : Oh, yes. Lots of things happened last month.
C : I probably said something that I shoudn't have.
M : What do you mean?
C : You see, I told those girls...
M : Yes?
C : That I won't give him away.
M : Huh?
C : No, it's not like that. How should I put it... (younger) brother belongs to (older) sister, right?
M : I... wouldn't know... being the only child, you see.
C : A.. Anyway! I meant that I don't have any funny feeling about him or something. But somehow, those girls are thinking that I' their rival, so I feel uncomfortable around them.

Well, it could be that she is just overprotective of him... but still...

She might not be a brocon right now, but I do smell some potential...

She also jokingly taunts him that he should make a girlfriend, so she wouldn't have to worry about him and make time to pursuit her love life. (and marriage)

And about Ichika's attitude toward Chihuyu...

He is unusually polite to elders. (espcially toward woman, even if she is just a year senior to him)
※Of course, that does not apply to people who have crappy attitude, but that part you already know from watching the way he reacts to Cecilia's arrogant attitude.

That's probably because of the way Chihuyu educated him to be...

But also, Ichika bears a deep gratitude toward Chihuyu.

For a reason yet unknown, Ichika and Chihuyu were abandoned by their parents when they were very young.

And being the older one, Chihuyu had to work hard to make living and support her brother.


Anyway, the way Ichika greets his sister (returning home from work) is nothing short of a butler faithfully serving his master...

It caused the 5 heroines (wathing him doing that) to be envy of Chihuhu.

The kidnapping happened right before the finals for 2nd Mondo Grosso.

Being the champion of 1st Mondo Grosso, it was almost sure thing that Chihuyu would have won the title of 'Champion of 2nd Mondo Grosso,' but after hearing the news of kidnapping, she literally took off with her IS in order to resuce Ichika.
(She flew all the way to the place where Ichika was being held and rescued him, using her IS in the process...)

As a result, she ended up forfeiting the match.

Spoiler for The aftermath - spoiler warning:

The German intelligence service was the first to relay the news to Chihuyu, (and find out where Ichika was being held) so she considered herself in debt to them and spent a year in German, working as an instructor for German IS special force.
(This is how Laura got to meet Chihuyu for the first time)

After being helped by Chihuyu (prior to her arrival, Laura was a mess due to the complication from experiment done on her body) Laura gained a reason to pursuit her life again, and began to seriously admire Chihuyu, to the level of almost worshipping her.

When Laura learned the fact that Chihuyu had to give up the 2nd winning of Mondo Grosso to save Ichika, Laura determined that Ichika disgraced Chihuyu's fame, and decide to confront and eliminate him... for Chihuyu's sake.

As such, Laura shows extreme hostility when she meets him for the first time - that is, until she falls in love with him...

Finished with vol 6. Not much happened in this volume, the Silent Zephyr's attack only take a small part of the chapter, but what a cliffhanger. Clarifying what zephyr325 write about vol 6 before, here's how the battle goes.

Spoiler for vol 6 battle:

Chal and laura were hit by surprise attack so they retire early. Next, they tried to team up against M, but Ichika's power run out from defending M's attack, and Rin was hit protecting Ichika.

Ichika escape from battle momentarily to recharge his power using Houki's IS skill while Cecilia take Silent Zephyr alone, she was outskilled, but manage to shoot M using the new skill " The Flexible" before her IS fall.

M was about to shoot Cecilia, but at the last moment, just like a typical shounen hero, Ichika arrives in time to slash M's rifle and saves Cecilia(Cecilia could have died if she is shot since she purged part of her IS armor as a last resort so the shutdown system of IS won't work anymore). The Silent Zephyr actually can still fight on, but Squall order M to retreat for reason unknown(earlier, Squall also confront Tatenashi and run away even though she still have a pretty good chance to win against Tatenashi)

Uhhh, should I continue with the summary or not? Since it seems people would like to have the earlier novel story more than this latest one.

Summaries for each volume would be wonderful, especially for those who want them.

If possible, I'd like to know how many IS does each country have. From what I understand, with the Alaska Treaty, IS have to be shared and opened to the world, and there are enough cores for every country in the world to be given one core. But, it seems like the more wealthy countries have more than one IS...

Edit add

Other questions I have:
1) Since cores can't be tinkered yet, do all IS have a fixed amount of energy?
2) How long can the shield of an IS last under repeated attacks from an IS using weapons of moderate power (below the threshold necessary to pierce an IS' shield kind of power)?

Anything you guys summarize will be useful to someone, more so for stuff that will not get animated (at least not this season). Personally I don't expect much from this series but background info and plot info and future spoilers make it more interesting for me to watch.

With the amount of stuff going on here, I think it was a mistake to make it a one-season show. This practically screams "25+ episodes".

If we flip their gender, the conversation make alot more sense, it is like a father-in-law talk to his daughter 's potential husband(s)
