To be fair A's wasn't a total curbstomp for Fate. Heck, she even nearly defeated Vita and also manage to put up a fight with Signum. It was only Nanoha the one who got horribly curbstompped by Vita which also can be attributed to the latter's surprise element and Nanoha's overconfidence in battle(but to give Nanoha some credit, after being able to tank Fate's Photon Lancer Phalanx Shift in Season One it's logical for her to think high of her defenses and thus being catched off-guard by Vita's "piercing damage" abilities).

Still remember Nanoha's face an "ehhhh...!" scream when Vita destroyed her shield and damaged Raising Heart for the first time xD.

The more dramatic part I wanna see is Reinforce.

I want to know the new context of the battle, several things changed apparently. For example, there's a bit when Vita shoots a Schwabelfliegen between Signum and Fate interrupting their fight. That never happened in A's so i'm curious.

I say it's going to happen. What would be the need for a cartridge upgrade, otherwise...Though they never really look weak, even before the upgrade. They were actually fairly close battles.

Oh you're right! and that makes me even more curious because such a scene never happene on the TV searies(in fact i can't remeber a single scene with Signum and Lindy present at the same time xDU). Did Signum just ambushed Lindy? How rude of her part xD!

Well, let's see, Nanoha did get crushed by Vita, although it's partially due to her holding back due to wanting to know what Vita wanted to do. Fate managed to hold off Vita better, but Vita still wasn't in any real trouble. Yuno didn't seem to have a problem defending against Vita.

Signum seemed to be way stronger them all, though. While upgraded Nanoha gave Vita tons of problems, Upgraded Fate was still at a push against Signum.

It's also implied the Wolkies were also holding back so.... my feeling is even with upgrades Signum probably would be able to beat them still.

Considering that after-StrikerS Nanoha barely managed to draw with an unrestrained Signum. I also think the same.

Fate is a slightly different case, Signum apparently is accustomed to Nanoha-type fighters as she knows how to press a defending target and have some bind-breaking spells of her own. But she expresses to have difficultings while fighting Fate because the girls is a extremely skilled close fighter and during their first encounters Signum finds the bloonde's blinding speed confusing. Signum is positively stronger than Fate at that age but the girl still represents a threat to her because she's more accustomed to fight a sword-wielding adversary and with that speed and thus, Signum can't afford being catched off gurad by her.

And I love the Nanoha series, personally. Looking forward to this movie, like what I've heard of the games, like Vivid, and (somewhat) like Force. I look forward to seeing all of the things that the series will do. I like every character in it just about

I've finded the script for one of the Sound Stages that revolves around the Movie, it's the Force-related one, with half-baked translation i can't bring myself to do a proper summary but thus far those are the things i've catched...

Spoiler for "short" summary:

* Rein is taking care of the Force Trio while she started to remeber about Reinforce Eins.
* Shamal is giving a checkt to Hayate and Signum and talks about their progressive recovery(need more help here because i've understand some interesting hints about their recovery but i don't trust my translation that much).
* Agito and Zafira discuss about the times before Agito joined the family. Zafira reveals he wants to join Tohma's training and that he have a technique that can porbably be usefull against the "Mage Killers"(again need help here xD).
* Vita and Silver Cross have a talk about the latter's personality. The Book apparently denies having one beyond "programming" but Vita seems to disagree(apparently Vita asked Tohma to have the Silver Cross by her side in order to use it's analizing capabilities to device better training courses for him and the girls).
* The Three Aces and the two Unisons discuss about having dinner that Night at the Yagami's house.
* Both little devices start to wash the veggies and preparing things, apparently they are quite accustomed to do the cooking(lol, poor Shamal xDU).
* Meanwhile, somewhere else Vita finds a nice place under the starred sky to have dinner but soon is joined by Signum and Shamal, surprisingly Zafira also joins them and Signum talks about the nice feeling of being the four reunited under the starred sky in such a pleasant fashion which brings her memories of the days the four used to stick togheter most of the time.
* The Three Aces talk about the whereabouts of Vivio, Erio and Caro. Hayate talks about her own family and how they changed her life. Also started to remeber about Eins. Agito and Rein finished cooking dinner and call for everyone...
* The Wolkenritter is still rembering their times as guardians as also when they meet Hayate. Signum and Zafira talk surprisingly open about their feelings of gratitude as also reflections of what kind of lives they would be living now if not for Hayate as also Eins's sacrifice.
* The Wolkenritter comes home and encounter with the Force Trio, they exchange salutes and Vita returns Silver Cross to Tohma and Lily, Signum then talks about the similitudes about SC and the tome of the Night Sky. Tohma out of curiosity ask SC if it's also a Recollecting Magical Guide, SC prontly denies that pointing that it's maing function is to be the master control terminal of the EC-Reactor(Tohma calls the book "narrow-minded" for that, lol), Lily point that there are unavoidable similtudes and Silver Cross concludes by analizing it's information about the Tome of the Night Sky, defining it as a "Generalized Magic Guide Book". Signum calls the SC Book "interesting" and Isis ask the book if she likes her. SC again denies having enough sentinence to "like" her but responds by stating it recognizes her as the protector of the Driver and the Reactor Plug and thus identifies her as someone that must be protected. Zafira feels identified with Silver Cross as both being the "silent and protective" type xD. Isis asks "Zaffy" if she can feel his tails, Zafira allows it if Isis promises to be carefull.
* The Wolkenritter talks about the comparission of the term lost logia between the two books(they doubt about cassifying Silver Cross as one as contrary to the Yami no sho it's technollogy is apparently fully comprehended as copies of the book are being made by a shady-organization(coughvandincough). Then Signum talks about how similar the situation is because Tohma saved Lily just as Hayate saved all five of them. Tohma confused ask who the 5th person is and Signum talks about Reinforce Eins and the way she choosed to pass away in order to protect their recently formed family.
* Signum asks Tohma about what he's gonna do with his life in the face of possibly similar stakes and descicions, the kid reflexes about his answer(i can't understand well this part but he talks about trying to live with pride and save those he feel need to be saved or something like that), the Wolks suguest him to not overanalyze things for now and Signum apologizes for making such a personal question. Isis goes overdramatic and shouts that if Lily wasn't saved by Tohma she probably must have lost control of the Divider Zero and it all would be resulted in a BAD END!(yeah, she screams that in Engrish xD!). Tohma sweats xDU
* Everyone have dinner, Fate and Nanoha receive emails from their kids which comments with Hayate. Rein and Agito talk about the announced sequel of "that" film made sometime ago about the childhood encounter of Nanoha and Fate. This one will narrate the events of the Book of Darkness crisis(it's strongly implied, yet not outright stated that they're talking about The Earth, as they say the films avoided censorship by being filmed in a non-administrated world xD). The Force Trio is actually ecited at the idea of seeing the Wolkenritter on their better days(ok that was just me, they've said something about wanting to see how they faced the incident as also they heared about the action-packed fights they had against Nanoha and Fate). The Three Aces started to remember those times as well and feel nostalgia about it.
* The Force Trio walks outside and have a chat about all the reflections emerged about what Signum said as also how interesting is to know their story as a family before becoming instructors.
* Vita and Hayate have a walk with Vita also saying that what Signum said brings her memories of Eins, talks about the starred sky wondering if Eins is also watching it(or something like that xDU). Hayate tells Vita she don't feel depressed anymore as they're living the live Eins decide to protect and then both agree that there are lot of work to do.
* Thoma finally narrates about how even in the face of the cruel and brutal things that are happening right now he feels encouraged by these people who have passed lots of harship and will work hard to face this new one.

Sound Stage ends.

It ended up being longer than i touhgt xDU. Still, i don't fully trust this so you guys can interpret it as you want(i think it's around 70% acurate) or wait for a more reliable re-telling xDU.

Apologies if this isn't the right thread, but I happened to stumble across the Sound Stages for The Movie 2nd, and I was wondering if someone is going to translate them.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link, but they're over on Nyaa, and pretty hard to miss.

On another note, they're labeled Side-Y and -T; what do they stand for?

Y = Yagami
T = Takamachi

So it's segregated by households.

Yes, yes, I only just got the drama cd today. I haven't had time to even listen to them. I'm actually quite busy with courses, so it might take while before a translation hits the ground.

That Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 2nd A's (now that's a mouthful!

) trailer certainly looks great. It should be quite a treat for the eyes, and an improvement at least in that visual area even over the Nanoha A's TV series which itself looked pretty good to me.

Aside from that, though, I feel that Nanoha A's only leaves a little bit of room for improvement. The main possible area for improvement that I can see is in achieving a less anti-climatic end, and maybe fleshing out Hayate and the Wolkenritter a bit more this time around. Other than that, I had no significant issues with the Nanoha A's TV series.

Some changes to the narrative is fine, but I echo the sentiments of those who would rather the story stick with Fate saving Nanoha after Nanoha looks to be getting wiped out by Vita. I personally felt that was a great scene for Fate, and one that helped to cement her relationship with Nanoha.

Other than all of that, I'm going to take a wait and see approach. I hope it does well in theaters in any event.

I agree with this, that scene was one of Fate's greatest(if not THE greatest) Crowning Moments of Awesome in the entire franchise as also the most memorable Big Damn Heroes moment for me. Fate promised to save Nanoha the next time she is in troubles and when she's about to be squashed by Vita, Nanoha mentally shouts her name and BAM! Fate appears, stopping Vita cold and then her kickass theme BGM plays. That scene have beautifull timing and the silence(when Vita approaches the beaten Nanoha slowly) followed by the sudden musical score was simply perfect(it gives me chills just to remember that xD).

I will really miss this scene, but well i guess Tsuzuki have new idea for the movie, let's see how those play.

Besides, i always can go back and watch the original A's xD!
