Interesting new interview with Toei producer Go Wakabayashi. He hints that it's not quite true that there are only two active Gold Saints. Also teases the anticipated Hyoga and Ikki's comebacks, besides other "unexpected characters".

It was rather obvious once Mars to be revealed to have been in control in Palaestra that the 2 active Gold Saints meant 'the traitorous Gold Saints.'

Do you have a link to the interview? Because if it's confirmed that Hyoga will appear I might actually watch this show.

Marin is hardly "unexpected" though. She's up there together with Kiki with characters whom everyone expects to make an appearance.

I just watched it, but it's a filler episode. The guys lost their money and have to do some part time working. A few random martians appear and are summarily defeated. The journey continues.

Yeah, pretty boring episode. The previous episode with traitor Ichi is more interesting.

In relation to that episode: so when a bronze cloth got promoted to silver, the name changes huh? So, if Hydrus is the promoted name for Hydra, then Yuna’s Aquila is the demoted name for Eagle? Also, that Hound silver guy could be Canis Minor when he was still a bronze then. I also remember that Peacock cloth belonged to a guy in the original anime and it didn't go by the Peacock name IIRC.

Edit: the underlined word is what I originally meant, not Sirius. My mistake.

Oh yeah, I finally remember that Peacock Saint dude from the original anime.
He’s a Silver called Pavo Shiva. So, we have two Silver Saints with the same constellation which named differently. Pavo Shiva and Peacock Pavlin.

I guess the consistency in the cloth name-calling has gone outta the window now. They can just call it whatever they like like what happened to Silver Eagle cloth which got demoted to Bronze Aquila.

While the show itself is very typical shounen there's tons of BL/yaoi fan-made material out there (I have to be very careful when I'm looking for Saint Seiya fanart online, lest my innocent childhood memories become corrupted XD;; ).

@wagnerr: If BL's not your thing just stay clear of the fanfics and fanart and you should be fine.
