Tokyo ESP manga, serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Shonen Ace is getting an anime. Mangaka is Segawa Hajime, who also did Ga-Rei.

Urushiba Rinka was a fairly normal high school girl, though she was a bit poor and her only family was her father. Then one day, she saw a penguin and some glowing fish swimming through the sky. Rinka might have thought it was a hallucination if there hadn't been another witness with her, a boy from her school with a strangely scratched-up face.

Contact with a fish caused her to pass out, and when she awoke, she had developed the power to move through inanimate objects... such as the floor of her apartment! Later, a call from her father showed her that she was not the only one the flying fish bestowed with hard-to-control superpowers! What exactly is going on here? And does Rinka's classmate know more about this situation than he's letting on?

I guess with this adaptation they can cover the entire Part 1 if they want to. My favorite thing about the manga has to be the cute interactions between the heroine and the hero. Hopefully a good studio and staff will take this project.

I don't know what the fuck is going on with the story, I really don't know why characters for other series are appearing without knowing any prior knowledge from them (for me personally). I expected it to be an average story about a girl receiving powers from elsewhere, what I got instead is basically identical to the first episode of Z/X Ignition except it feels even more confusing. It's as if I was watching the last few episodes of an action anime when everything are going downhill due to a large-scale event that leads it for some reason which will be explained later in the series. The animation is still great, though the thing it stands out is that the visuals doesn't look like your typical Xebec anime, it feels more like it was made by Asread which were responsible for Ga-Rei Zero (also by the same author), Future Diary and Yuushibu. The last minute thing saved it from getting more confusing, I'll judge the story later.

The attacks looked rather well organized.
Seems like they have opposition.
This should be interesting.
Hopefully it'll have a nice drama-action balance.

I didn't think this was confusing at all. Sure, I didn't really know who's who but it was easy to follow. That's why I personally hope they work from here rather than go back to the "beginning" the next episode.

The music direction is really odd though, lol. The OST itself is fine but the way it's used... I'm not so fure.

I haven't read the manga but i got a decent understanding of the things going on even though it apparently started from the middle of the story so it's okay. Animation was good especially for the powers, music wasn't too outstanding but it was decent enough. Good enough first episode.

What an opening! What a start! I expected a panel-for-panel adaptation, and instead got shellshocked by an explosive opening on the story's biggest moment. If they wanted to draw attention by making as much noise as possible, well, they've surpassed every show this season on that front.

Haha, throughout the whole encounter I was just waiting for the moment they get stabbed, and surprise! It never came.

Still, heck of a way to use the Ga-Rei cameos and supporting characters as an way to build up to the real heroine here, and it's actually pretty fun to see the mysticism and exaggerations that surround Rinka's exploits. I can't argue with what they've did here by putting us in the perspective of how the average person views a legend.

Then I saw floating diet and was like, uh oh, either flashback episode and start from ep 2 or dumdumdum, anime original time between arc 1 and arc 2 about Rinka.. >_<

any way either is fine with me, loving de manga so far, curious what they will do this anime adaptation
