I just saw the list. I saw the HG Jesta Cannon and got super excited. Then I saw the MG Jesta directly below that and nearly got a heartattack! XD
And a HG Perfect Strike as well? Fuck. Yes!

HG Perfect Strike?!!

It'd be a lot better if Bandai make "Perfect" parts for RG Strike. That'll sell like peanuts. Not another Strike HG with bad proportion and articulation .

Also, MG Jesta = Hotness ^^.

Agreed. Why revamp an old HG? Unless they're redoing it, which is highly unlikely.

HG Jesta Cannon is sweet! Hopefully we'll see it in episode 6.

As for MG Jesta - MG Base Jabber soon, anyone?

EDIT: Just realised - SD Delta Plus with Base Jabber?!

Also - I'm assuming Bandai is using the new mold from the M1 Astray for the Blue Frame. Let's hope we get a HG ARF Kai. Really want the MG but I can't afford it atm.

That'll be nice , but I doubt it. Astray Blue Frame 2nd L is basically the original Blue Frame with different head, shoulders, knees and feet + Tactical Arms. Most likely they're gonna re-use the old HG Blue Frame mold only with some changes I mentioned before.

Question

Having the urge to get a Gunpla (Never having any Gundam figures before). However I have difficulty to pick the scale I want. (HG / HGUC or pre-assembled Robot Damashii / HCM Pro, MG & other superior grades are out of my question)

Can anyone specify the pros & cons for these 3 scales? Also, are Gunpla-exclusive tools required on building a HG model?

HG (Pros & Cons)
  • It’s cheap
  • Easy to build/assemble
  • Small (doesn’t need a lot of space)
  • Has more variation of MSs than any other Grades
  • Good enough articulation
  • It’s not too detailed (some little parts still need painting)
  • Body proportion is so – so

RD/HCM Pro (Pros & Cons)
  • EXPENSIVE
  • In most cases, smaller than HG (some HCM Pros are even smaller than RDs or vice versa)
  • No painting required (because it’s an Action Figure, not Model Kit/Gunpla)
  • No building/assembling required (because it’s an Action Figure, not Model Kit/Gunpla)
  • Nice proportion
  • Nice articulation
  • Nice details

MG (Pros & Cons)
  • Expensive (but worth the price)
  • Bigger than HG (MG is 1/100 while HG is 1/144 in scale)
  • Harder to build compared to HGs
  • Awesome details
  • Articulation and proportion are a lot better than HGs in most cases
  • Painting is not necessary.

To build HG Gunpla, you only need some sharp cutting tools (like cutters, files etc) and markers (using Gundam Markers is better). So, nothing too fancy .

EDIT: I just want to leave this here so that you don't get confused about size comparison

From left to right:
Real Grade->HG->Non-scale GFF->Super HCM Pro->Robot Damashii->Humable->GFF 1/144

im glad that MG Jesta is coming out this spring so i can save the money to get it because I have been wanting to get the HG but something was telling me to hold off on it. Plus when i buy the MG Nu. Ver Ka, my gunpla budget will be depleted for a while lol.
but quick question has anyone here built the MG Turn A gundam. I just want to hear some other opinions about it on the forum.

Yep, soooo glad I held off buying the HG Jesta, can't wait to see the MG, should be kick ass!
Question is whether or not we'd see a MG Jesta cannon, I don't think we will but damn I would love to see it.

And also HG Ez-8, lol damn I thought we already had that since we had the MG, funny how you can miss these details.

HG Perfect Strike maybe just a reboxing of HG Aile plus the FG Launcher and Sword..plus some connecting pieces.

I really don't like Destiny (thanks to the pilot), but I'll get the RG Destiny in a heartbeat.

I guess I'm the only one excited about the Ez-8...

The Destiny Gundam is getting a Real Grade? Well, that was certainly not something I was expecting next. Guess that rules out Providence for a Real Grade then, if they're already moving on to Destiny suits with the line. A bit of a shame, since having Freedom, Justice, and Providence all in the same scale on the same shelf in the same grade would have been great.

Disappointed on the Perfect Strike HG though, I was really hoping (and frankly, expecting) for them to release it in either a Master Grade or a Real Grade kit.

A review of the RG Zeta Gundam is out! Damn it looks gorgeous and now I'm regretting not pre-ordering this guy from the start.

Great kit. Incredibly fun to build, no loose parts(as far as mine goes, dunno about others), plus it's very posable.

If you don't count Skygrasper, it seems they're doing 3 releases per series - 0079, Zeta, and SEED. If this is the case, hopefully the other 2 Destiny RGs will be Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice. Would certainly go better together with the Destiny, than Providence with Freedom and Justice.

Super stoked about the MG Jesta.. Bandai made my day with the mentioning of that suit. But my wallet is crying. About the MG Nu 2.0 gimmick what is it? Bandai was going to announce it at the Gundam expo.

I believe as Obelisk ze Tormentor points out, something akin to Destroy Mode.

You can see parts of the armour opening up, most noticeable on the thigh and shoulder.
