after watching the whole season now, there were a few things I didnt understand.

why are they trying to portray chiri as a mystery murderer, I can understand the shovel bit, however, it seems to drag on beyond that.

and why does kafka dress up and try to food poision despair sensei for those two episodes?

1 they are trying to portray Chiri as a Psychotic murderer, that would be comming from her tendency to get everything perfect, and her violent side.

For your second question; it never explained, so we have to guess...

Chiri is not a mystery murder because everyone know she can be murderous. No mystery there. Chiri is an extremist who is willing to go to extreme lengths to "set things right", which can include violence. She is only dangerous half the time, and helpful in the other half.

And as far as I know, Kafka is just trying to get more screentime; the old Kafka is running out of steam as a character, so she evolved to become even more crazy.

Kafka is an extremely complicated character, lots of reasoning on her personalities etc.

We must remember that there's alot of references to stories especially the creator's favourite and one of my own, Osamu Dazai's No Longer Human (I highly recommend it) and Fuura is a manifestation of escape through denial. Fuura's scary side is just a vent among other things.

Who has the deepest love? Matoi has my vote :3

>Two OADs entitled Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (tentative), to be released with the 15th (Oct '08) and 16th (Feb '09) volumes of the manga book. Apparently Negima!? and a couple other manga-anime links have been doing the same thing.
>manga + DVD will be selling for 3490 yen -- for reference, previous manga volumes are 400 yen and the regular edition Zoku DVDs with 3 eps each are 5775 yen.

There's a scan that goes with this but I'm lazy.

Interesting. Very interesting. Can we take this as a hint for a third season?

Maybe there was enough sales for a 2.5th season ;p

PS link:

Happy enough that more episodes are being made, anyway.

Yes it is a great series and it sounds like you're watching the first season. I feel that you should know that this is the second season thread. No harm done or anything but unless you want spoilers...

(I'm wondering if they will merge the two threads together some day as everyone goes to this thread and that leaves the first season thread pretty much dead.)

Update:

Bless them, a.f.k, but they've updated their 'count to 3rd season' to: 8642 to go. Not quite there (3rd season), but that's probably given us the OAD instead (Season 2.5)

Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei page open with stuff:

Hmmm... I usually don't ask for releases but a.f.k. last release was ep 4 at 19/02/08. Like 5 month ago. Anyone got any idea when will they resume if they will? Else I'll go dl from other sources.
