Let's wait for the full volume release before we pull out the pitchforks...

And how is "snore inducing principal" and "very pretty" any better?

Because Kyon's too much of a romanticist to use terms like "hottie" and "Principal Toupee" really doesn't convey "snore-inducing".

Sure, it seems like a minor thing now, but next thing you know they'll be making Haruhi blonde.

When was Kyon considered a "romanticist?" Did I miss something? Or was it later in the novels that this trait expressed itself?

And Mikuru Beanbrew's dream date...

Kyon has this really idealistic view of love... just look at the way he describes the girls, the metaphors he uses, etc.

He's too intellectual and awesome to use the term "hottie". Taniguchi, sure. Kyon, er, no.

He only does that when describing Mikuru. His descriptions for Nagato after her first infodump are roughly the same as if he were describing a piece of furniture, while Haruhi generally gets a "she'd be more attractive if she just stopped talking" from him.

Given the fact that he went out of his way to actually compare Ryoko and Haruhi, I don't really see "hottie" as being too far of a stretch, although I will admit it is one.

He describes Haruhi rather poetically at times, just not often. Usually only when she's sleeping.

The really poetic descriptions of Nagato come in the later volumes, especially 7, most of which he spends alternately lusting after either her or Mikuru.

What version did you read?
The Baka-tsuki or the non-translated?

Baka-Tsuki's version, can't read moon. Also, I haven't read the books in a while, and I am using hyperbole.

I've not seen any other forum that is more active on the topic. Here however most of thos topic gets talked about in the thread about the Second Seasion of Haruhi, seem the release of either seem held up.

Plus we're starting to run out of things to talk about here. All the theories have been so thoroughly debated and discussed.

I remember feeling the same way after getting into Freaks and Geeks when I bought it on DVD years after it was canceled. Such a fantastic show and I had no one to talk about it with after finishing it.

Haha I guess we should start talking about that in the mean time... I doubt we will be hearing anything for a long time.
