Perfect comparison, and proving the point: it's just like Fushigi Yuugi in that the heroine is surrounded by an ever-growing cast of cute guys, and it's just like Fushigi Yuugi in that her love interest was openly identified in Episode 1 and everybody else is only around to provide decoration and plot twists.

I think he's referring to how this thread is mainly made up of a female audience and our fangirling.
According to ANN, yes, only 12. Actually, those fans will probably throw Nanami out and put Tomoe with Kurama. (*gets killed by Tomoe for saying that* ) ...and Mizuki gets Nanami by fan intervention.

Spoiler:
Even though this anime is only 12 episodes, which is a real shame considering they have plenty of material to work with, I am still grateful there is an anime adaptation. I had a hard time trying to imagine Tomoe's voice whenever I read the manga prior to the anime, and the seiyuu that voices him does a perfect job. So when the anime is over and I am back to the manga again, at least I will get to "listen" to Tomoe's voice when reading, so in a way, the anime is still running for me.

For anyone who is interested in discussing the manga of Kamisama Kiss. I made a thread here.
Edit: Some pictures I just had to share. I believe the last two are fanarts but they're so beautiful. If anyone know the original creators, please list them. Did Nanami get that monkey from IKEA Canada? (sorry, just had to add that. )

So this week we have a "quick" version of the shrine festival. It's actually not bad. Mizuki and the flute scene never fail to make me laugh. Anyway, from the preview, there seems to be plenty of angst involved on the part of Nanami and especially Tomoe and also
Spoiler:
I just realized that we seem to be going backwards. Episode 12 refers to events in Chapter 26, Episode 11 Chapter 37 and 38, and bits of Chapter 79 and Chapter 50 for Episode 10. I must commend the sequencing though, the plot is still coherent.

Nanami was really down about the rumors about the shrine.
Making the shrine more popular project was a good idea. She really was trying to make it work. Tomoe was against it right from the start. Kurama pretty much had all the best ideas. Tomoe was totally not amused by that fact ^^" Watching their preparations was kinda LOL That final test was really taking its toll on Nanami. It truly came at the worst possible timing.

Found my new background image...
Watched 11 and 12. Was interesting to see them kinda cram multi manga chaps into one epi. Kinda broke up the feeling for me. Epis were good but I preferred keeping it one chap = one epi (I still think only Gintama can get away with multi chaps in 1 epi) but I still enjoyed them, the plot still worked it just caught me off guard. Tomoe is his traditional clothes in 12 <3 <3 Quote:
Nooooo only one more epi

Due to holiday schedule changes, Funimation's stream for episode 13 will debut Friday 12/28 at 1 pm ET. [Source] I'm not sure if the show is actually changing broadcast time in Japan or if Funi is changing its stream time to give its employees a holiday break.
