No, there really isn't any order, there are too many versions of Genji. While the girls represents the girls from the original Genji, they do not play out that way. Asahi is suppose to be Asagao. Her place is not really known.

I just hope it doesn't go Yaoi like the stories of Genji.

She may not stand out from other girls, but a failed conquest will remain failed unless Terumi tries again. Let's hope he does a better job than Genji who could never do Asagao.

This is the defining part of this story from the Original Genji. Asagao was not conquered in the original Genji, but if Terumi conquers Asahi, then it really sets its own path.

Also, yeah, it appears that his "best friend" hasn't recovered. He was trying to find a book about impotence.

The chapters are short is because the author does the drawings herself, she doesn't have any assistants unlike other manga thus she is limited and cannot produce 20 page chapters like other manga.

As for Hanada, its not clear as in now, but eventually she will have feelings for Terumi. Even in the original Genji, Hanachirusato took a while to be in the limelight but eventually she does. Give it some time as Terumi has not even conquered a single target yet, but in the original Genji, he already have at least 3 targets depending on the versions before Hanachirusato.

I don't want this manga to end up being axed and then given a rushed ending because of the slow pacing, you know? On a separate note, is chuujou also based on a genji character?

There's been news about Inaba hiring assistants, so maybe things will improve. As for Chuujou, Genji's tale had several characters with that name, one of them a man. Other Chuujous were maids mostly.
