Not quite exceptionally silly or balls-to-the-fourth-wall silly, but moderately silly. With a chance of silly. Which is enough to satisfy my backwards way of thinking. Two weeks in a row. The character songs being previewed at the end of the episodes (Ayumu last week and the idiot trio this week) are pretty nice, and releasing pretty soon.

Looks like next week might hit a hat trick; thank the narrator.

It is so funny that Maria got jealous because Hayate is not paying attention to her. Another thing, based on the preview, won't that eventually lead to the cellphone arc later on?

Good episode, better than the last. For some reason I couldn't help but laugh when Sakuya was laughing as well.

Is it just me, or did Chiharu get a new VA? She doesn't sound like she did in the OVA or in the previous season. At the least, if her VA remained the same, she definitely changed the voice she acts with as Chiharu, both as maid Haruh and as regular Chiharu.

Mini-skirt Isumi... Nice... (Probably thanks to the fact you usually can't see her legs)

Though the funniest part of the episode was right after Isumi dressed up, the priest was like "Chigaunen! Zenzen chigau!". During (after) the line, I'm pretty sure I heard the voice actor laugh.

Haru... Unfortunately, we already have a maid character, so... (-_-)

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. Haha

Though, I did notice that the priest had a weird grunt right before Isumi showed off her "new technique" for the first time, under the sakura trees.

Hah; I think you're right. I went back and listened to that, and it's really, really funny. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

I thought this episode was average overall as far as Hayate no Gotoku goes, but even the worst episodes of this series are very enjoyable, so I had a lot of fun this week too.

Isumi as a maid... doesn't really work for me. I adore her, but I prefer her usual attire.

Maria getting repeatedly ignored was pretty funny, but the comedic highlight of the episode for me was Hayate's fake smile at the end. Great comedic timing; felt just right.

Ah another good episode in my opinion - I'm enjoying this a lot - more action in the sanzenin house usually means more laughs for me . The priest is quite a guy too.

Is it just me, or there's an endless eight reference in this episode? Back when the priest was watching isumi falling down on TV, his sentence is almost like koizumi's

The highlights of this episode has definitely got to be Chiharu Harukaze's straight answers.

BTW can anyone tell me if the part about Chiharu's reason for being a maid has been covered in the anime? Quite sure I saw it before but forgot where's it.

It hasn't been covered in the anime. Though, considering where the anime is in in terms of the manga chapers, it'll be covered soon. Probably during episode 22 is my guess.

I assume the only "logical" reason that Wataru didn't get to see Isumi in a maid outfit (traditional and skimpy) is because the writers would have been forced to kill him off due to the amount of blood loss.
