I'd go beyond calling her cute; I'd call her smokin' hot, especially now that she's a zombie. Those burning red eyes may look creepy, but they also add a bit of seductiveness to her. The pale skin makes it even better.

Chihiro's problems are just beginning to pile up, eh? As if he didn't already need to worry about either hiding or explaining Rea to his family, thinking about that nutcase of a father that she has, and now preserving Rea has become his most urgent problem.

Oh, the irony that Rea had to die first before she could even try to live as a normal girl. Even as a zombie, Rea retains her cuteness and attractiveness. Our moe zombie is doing great.

Rea's VA Maaya Uchida is also doing great. This episode also answers one of my early questions about the anime, it seems Rea will be speaking normally as a zombie, and not in a slow zombie voice. Also, I've become fully used to Ryohei Kimura's voice as Chihiro now.

The "magical girlfriend" stuff is nothing new, no matter which race the girl is born for each series. Ah and necrophilia is used as a plot device for many fantasy/romance stories, like Full Moon wo Sagashite. In real life issues, you cannot fall in love with the dead people, but Sankarea is simply a anime where the necrophilia is used as a plot device.

^ Nothing is new anymore. We've had gender-benders, robo-love, necrophilia, bestiality, goddesses, women that came from inside a soda, aliens etc.

Saving grace of the anime is that the heroine is HOT. Her mom's a MILF as well!
