I mean I for one liked the novel but not every novel should get a anime adaptation and this is one of them,but on the other hand since it is only 4 volumes then the studio might actually not do such a bad job

Hi, I am new to the Forum I hope not to be a nuisance

. I just read the v4 I have to admit that ultimate antihero was a series with great potential, since return to something so wonderful as the mythology of Lovecraft (also known as the mythology of the god cthulhu) was a good idea, also the characters despite having only 4 volumes were very well developed, each volume developed a very entertaining story and catch you , and ended with only 4 volumes was something very unexpected, and also by comparing the final words of the author in the v3 and the v4 maybe the author term the LN because of the Publisher, perhaps did not have the sufficient profits and that is why I was going to be cancelled, but the author decided to finish it to not let it unfinished? , this is my theory, sincerely was a shame to finish the novel.

Not all Light Novels are meant to be 10+ Volumes.

Heck most of them are this long, the story literally wrote itself to the endgame as soon as Michael was introduced.

Those conspiracy theories mean nothing.

Agreed and I liked how it was 4 volumes. It was short yes but if the series was prolonged things will get messy. I mean the Love crafts mythology is disorderly to say the least. I enjoyed the mythology being used. It being the primary mythology too was cool but since its disorderly its hard to make a proper story. In short what I am saying is if it was 10ish volumes the story would fall apart due to its own foundation. So a short but sweet story that leaves the rest to your imagination fits well with this series.

It feels like when the author wrote volume 2 he was planning on making a bigger story, but either got a notice that the series needs to end or perhaps he changed his mind and wants to end it himself, so wrote volume 3 with end game in mind.

^Unlike Rakudai, the romance is weak in this series. it seemed to have some potential to develop but turn out in the end it's all wasted.

so if you're read this for romance, don't bother it.

In short yes. It was a good series IMO and is worth a read.
