In short: Only difference between portable and docked is resolution. Also, portable have stable frame-rate but in docked mode fps can drop to 20fps.

so been playing breath of the wild and i do like it but there is one thing that is keeping me from loving it that is why on this earth would you give the weapons durabilty and if you have to have could they atleast have made so the weapons aren't gone forever after they break, i swear it feels like every weapon i pick up has the durability of the giants knife, besides that this game is next to perfect

It creates an artificial 'supply and demand' scenario where resources are finite and must be replenished. It's a similar sort of appeal in other games (like Harvest Moon), where fundamentally the game involves you running a farm (a "farming simulator" in and of itself doesn't seem appealing, yet the games are normally great fun).

no i get the idea i just really really do not like it, it feels like the old fire emblem scenario where i would hoard the really good weapons till endgame because of the whole gone forever aspect. but in fire emblem you can at least defeat several enemies before the weapon breaks, here it is like every 2 or 3 enemies before it does and with the limited inventory space it is not like i can just hoard the equipment, so for me it feels like a huge blemish on an otherwise perfect game

Spoiler for Master Sword:

Yes and no. The Master Sword has its own kind of durability when fighting regular enemies; it'll wear down to a point where it can't be used. However, after a few minutes, it'll regenerate.

Against Ganon or his incarnations, the Master Sword is truly indestructible.

There's also a weapon called the Zora's Trident you can acquire in Zora's Domain, which is also indestructible, but I don't know if it's like the Master Sword's durability.

Also, on an unrelated note: Amiibo users.

Those of you who have the Smash Bros series Link amiibo, DO NOT USE IT if you're in an area where getting to a stable is impossible. Make sure you're at a stable the first time you use it.

All I knew is where the location was, and that you needed two weapons to make it, and that it wasn't permanently lost like everything else. I haven't gotten it myself yet, so...

I don't have the game, or a Switch, for that matter, but I'm having a blast checking out all the videos of the game online, and can't wait until I can afford to get it. I'm impressed by the complexity of the story. It almost feels like a different franchise, yet at the same time, it's unmistakably Zelda.

If you're curious about the answer to that question, you can watch the "True Ending" on YouTube. At least one person has posted it. Though to be honest, some of the cutscenes leading up to it are a bit more pertinent to that question...

It's game for kinds, so I should't expect too much but

Not necessarily 100% ending, but 100% of memories recovered ending. I don't know if anyone has been able to truly 100% the game yet, so I don't know if anything changes in that case.

One thing I'd be curious about is what changes occur in dialogue, or even plot, if you focus on getting the Master Sword before any of the story-related stuff. Watching playthroughs, I've noticed that its absence is noticed by NPCs during at least the Zora and Gerudo Divine Beast storylines. If the only requirement is 13 Hearts, then it's just a matter of clearing 40 Shrines before venturing too close to the DBs.

We will see. I will definitely try to 100% this (as always - except cases it it's not dumb grind fest or situation where you can get all achievements only with DLC) when Switch price drop to 100-150$ levels.

Well, I don't have the money for a Switch. But I decided to trade in my New 3DS XL and its games because even though it has some very good RPGs, I just don't play it. The graphics are underwhelming on the 3DS and I don't think its a very enjoyable handheld in terms of a unit to play on (to hold and play on, make sense?). So I have played through hardly any games I had for it. And Switch is a worthwhile system to trade it in towards.

Well, I traded it in. I also found a GameStop gift card lying around. I ask them to check the balance. I thought it'd have a few dollars on it. Turns out it has $65 on it. With this $65 credit and the trade in credit I got for trading in a handheld and some games, I suddenly have over $290. And my state doesn't have sales tax on most things, including electronic devices.

So I'm going to get a Switch for less than $10. Yes that made my day lol

However, I have to wait until I can find a unit at a GameStop to use that store credit, heh.

I am eagerly awaiting the video where someone lands the finishing blow on Ganon via a flock of cuccos. You know it's coming. The only way I see it not happening is if the game somehow removes any cucco you might be carrying when it runs the little cutscene where Ganon spawns in. There are no loads between zones or even between entering and exiting buildings, so you should be able to take a cucco into the room in Hyrule Castle where you fight Ganon...Assuming you can get it past the gauntlet that comes before...
