None of those two will confess during the festival. They will either do it after it, when it lost all meaning giving a heart, or in some incredible indirect way aka "I made all roofs be painted in red so when you look from space it forms a heart around our school and thus you" bs. xD

I thought that Fujiwara was the culprit of the lost heart balloons but it makes more sense that Prez is the "Joker" of this story. But then he digged his own grave because I bet Fujiwara turns out competent and finds out he is the thief and then he has some explanation to do which surely will be turned into some kind of misunderstanding.^^

I think you overestimating Fujiwara too much as Miko did.

As far as I remembered, when Miyuki is plotting something on Kaguya, Fujiwara tend to the last person on the world to figure it out. The reason why I think Miyuki drove Fujiwara away is to ensure his plan will work perfectly. No one wants an anomaly to be a part in their grand design. Miyuki, Kaguya and AI know that well.

He was worried about Ishigami being rejected because it would make him unable to confess. So he definitely planned to confess during the festival.

Considering there has been no announcement of the series ending soon in the next volume or two, I'd say there's a good chance something will go awry

I heard that the author is planning to continue the series after both of them became a couple. Most likely it will focus on beating the "Final Boss AKA Kaguya's father" together or something.
