also, now I am convinced that Azami didn't slept with 2 WGO sluts, however, there is a possibility he slept with Tsukasa in the summer.

Reading Korean scan: It looks gay...
Reading eng scan: Ok, It is definitely more gay that I am initially thought of.

I have seen enough horror games or movies to came out the conclusion that people who often addressed themselves as an "artist" is usually under delusional or a closet psychopath. And both of the term fits Azami and Eishi perfectly.

As for Rindo..ants? I don't know whether it is true or not but people around me in the past often told me that if you ate ants, you will became stupid than those who didn't eat it.

It is funny that Azami was treating Eishi better than his own biological daughter. No wonder why is Erina hate him so much. Just as WGO sluts said before "Azami, you are a terrible father material".

Tsukasa and Azami didn't call themselves artists. Azami was making a comparison. He was saying that the people who called Tsukasa's cooking delicious without understanding anything about true gourmet were the same as them who don't know anything about art and would say something similar about any good piece of artwork. Basically that.

This was basically Stranger Danger: the chapter. Every time you think Azami has hit peak creepiness, he finds a way.

It was so funny to see Azami casually pick up/hit on Tsukasa in the street.

If Tsukasa is that annoyed that people say they like his food because of his reputation (or so he thinks), then he should work as an anonymous chef.

He was never quite the same after Jouichirou left Tootsuki.

Some "artists" got mad when the common people can't appreciate their art. And Eishi and Azami seem doing the same. Won't be surprise if Azami and pulled out his katana and Eishi use the knife to stab Megumi on the spot if Megumi was accidentally dropped their dishes on the floor.

Azami and Tsukasa definitely seem to be thinking of cooking as an art, and I'm sure many real world chefs would agree. What makes them twisted is that they think the masses will never be able to appreciate their cooking because they're not educated, and that makes them mad. They believe they will say anything is delicious as long as it comes from a renowned chef, regardless of the actual dish's quality.

Azami's point is that people just usually assume the food is good because some famous chef made it. He criticized people for judging the worth of something based on superficial labels instead of its own qualities.

It's like assuming a movie is good because a famous director/writer is involved.

That's precisely why his motives are childish. No one will understand the effort involved in a task, unless they understand the process. This isn't limited to art or cuisine, but to almost any type of work. Expecting everyone to appreciate the entirety of your efforts is just silly. People just see the end result, and that's all they care about and also all they can judge. That's how things are.

Also, talent is definitely an important aspect. Be it Jouichiro or Tsukasa, there is a level of effort. However, there are plenty of other chefs out there, who may place as much effort into their work as Jou or Tsukasa, and who won't achieve nearly the same results. So, their talent is indeed a big factor.

^This is true. Tsukasa and Azami's thinking is flawed. Perhaps even shallow. But either way, I wouldn't necessarily say they think of themselves as artists. Though cooking certainly can be seen as a form of art. Chefs even have present their dishes in a way that's pleasing to the eyes, right? That's all art.

nah, everything can be art including food itself if the creator want it to be, but the problem is, could azami make a dish that value more than hundred million? or a dish can be used as an excuse for money laundering like those painting with line in blank background ever did? lol

The problem with comparing it to Art is that Art can be interpreted in a number of ways. What one viewer sees the other sees differently. Azami and Tsukasa sounds like they want to monopolize the cuisine world with their brand of "Art". Nevermind those who disagrees with their views.

It's not that Azami wants to make people see cuisine as an art - plenty of people already do.
Azami's problem is people talking about cuisine when they're not versed in the matter. So, his aim is that only a select group of people, that he approves of, to create anything in the world of gastronomy and everyone else should just limit themselves to copy whatever they do.

Consider Tsukasa's situation, for example. People praised his dish not having any idea about the process he followed in making it. That annoyed him, because he thought it was "empty praise" since they didn't know shit. However, that's as stupid as some rocket scientist telling Tsukasa he's a retard for thinking a rocket is cool, because he has no idea about the processes and all the science involved in building it.

To a degree I understand the idea about trying to cleanse the field - think about the amount of things some people try to pass off as art these days (e.g. pictures of anuses). However, expecting everyone to have an educated opinion of your field is downright delusional.

Exactly. Azami isn't trying to get people to think of cuisine as an art, and he also doesn't exactly need to because there are already people who do. But what he does think is still flawed.

Spoilers are out with some pics.

Souma claims his specialty will surpass Tsukasa's. Is it even possible for Souma's appetizer to beat Tsukasa's main dish?

Yeah, I have doubts about that as well. Maybe his MC power will make it happen.
